Purchased room via Expedia and got a good deal ($145 for a single and double bed room). We intended to have our youngest sleep on the double between us and our older child on the single. We notified the front desk that we had two children and the receptionist graciously moved us into a room on the first floor with two double beds. Although the gesture was initially greatly appreciated, we soon realized the lower level on the right side of the reception desk (facing) was exceptionally noisy as personnel checked in and out of the hotel at all hours. As such, sleep was interrupted regularly throughout the night as individuals checked in, walked up and down the halls to their rooms, back and forth to the restaurant, and up and down the elevators with bells. Hindsight being what it is, suggest reserving a room on an upper floor away from the transient guests rotating throughout the night. Rooms had concrete walls, basic shower facilities, and minimal decor - what we expected when booking at this price. Ate at the restaurant and the food quality was good at a reasonable price. We used the parking at $14 a day - reasonable value for the location. A five minute drive from the international terminal - very convenient.

Room Tip: Select a room on any floor but the first.

Dear Derek L, Thank you for taking the time to write about your stay. I am pleased we were able to accommodate your family in a larger room but am disappointed there was noise transference to interrupt your stay. The Hotel has a zero tolerance for excessive noise and we have various methods to assist with this including our ground floor doors which block out lobby noise. Whilst these are closed nightly, we can certainly shut them earlier to ensure a more restful experience.

This is a good hotel. near to the airport. It is about a ten minute walk. The shuttle bus will take you here but it costs $6 and you can wait up to 30mins for it, the last one from the airport is at 11.00pm. Rooms are quite big, spacious and clean. Bar/restaurant is Ok. Its an Ok 3 star hotel at a good price

I recently travelled overseas with a friend. As we have a 6.30 am international flight and we live a couple of hours from the airport, we travelled down with my family the night before our flight and stayed at the Ibis. I must say, I wasn't expecting much, as I had gotten our rooms for $85.00 each using my accor advantage plus membership. I was simply blown away by the standard of this motel at that price. We arrived at about 9.30 pm and the reception staff were so friendly and helpful. They had a laugh and a joke with us and made us feel so welcome. They do run a shuttle service to the airport, but we had to be there before the shuttle services started, so they booked a taxi for us for the following morning. Our rooms, although basic, were lovely, clean and modern. We had a great night's sleep and on arrival at reception in the early hours of the following morning, found the taxi driver there in reception, waiting for us. They are located about 3 km from the international airport and about 1 km from the domestic airport. I would not stay anywhere else before a flight, after the great experience I had at this hotel.

I tend to consider staying here for quick transits. The hotel is usually fairly priced. This time the rate was higher than I hoped. Staff is pretty good.
I was unable to get a shuttle reservation to airport due to demand and the staff was great to get me a taxi and followup.
Room is always small, but adequate and bathroom is tiny!
I think the TV was larger than last visit.
I am pretty sure the internet was included which is a big bonus in Australia.

typical smallish room but quiet for sleeping. fast check in and out shuttle bus to terminal on time and reasonable at six dollars each.
skipped the buffet breakfast which i did not think value at $22 each.
wi fi was also an extra charge something that i find very annoying as should you stay at a basic backpackers lodge it usually is free.
we will return particually if we pick up the promo. room price again.
