Rooms were good. Food was excellent. I stayed so i would have an easy trip to the airport. Do you really expect the shuttle to take 30 minutes. Shuttle is outsourced to sydney shuttles. Service and time taken was poor. Would stay again but not for park stay and fly.

As mentioned in previous reviews, the Shuttle does perform a circuit which sees 2 pick ups and drop offs an hour; this ensures we meet a varying group of scheduled departure times of all of our guests, This service is provided by Sydney Super Shuttle.

Stayed here due to an early flight and will stay somewhere else in future. There was no one to help my wife and I (70 and 66)with our luggage. Room was next to the lift which was noisy all night. Dinner was a disaster having to wait almost an hour and a half my the main meal. Ultimately threatened to to leave if the meal was not on the table in ten minutes. It did arrive but I must say that the service and the overall experience was a shocker

On the particular night, we assisted 92 stranded passengers and this impacted on the normally smooth food service as well as assistance with your luggage. It always impresses me how the team can offer support to people who are unwillingly stopped short of great holidays or families all over the world, however I appreciate how this may have inconvenienced you at the time. We have briefed the team in relations to communicating to all guests service levels when a large number of stranded passengers do arrive.

The hotel would have got another 'star' if it didn't charge for its bus service to the airport - it is, after all, promoting itself as an airport hotel - and if it didn't charge A$20 a day for internet. I have a particular hatred of internet charges in hotels as it is simply a rip-off. The hotel would have it for its own use, so why charge guests?
The Holiday Inn at Mascot is within a few minutes' drive of the airport. Many will use it as we did, somewhere to sleep off jet-lag before moving on. In that sense it is good. But the airport bus is chargeable to your room and that's a mistake. You have to use it really, as the hotel is close to the airport and taxi drivers will vent their scorn on you if you demand a ride of such a short distance, but with luggage what do you do?
The rooms are good, the service friendly and there is a restaurant at one end of the lobby and a pub (with food) at the other. We used the restaurant where the food was adequate and reasonably priced. The location is within five minutes' walk of the railway station.
Overall, it did it's job but the little downsides marred the visit.

Room Tip: All of the rooms are the same.

Thank you for your review - The points you have raised are very helpful in our quest as we lobby the Sydney Airport Corporation to change their regulations around shuttle and transport services. All the Airport hotels in the precinct use the same service provider Sydney Super Shuttle which carries a fee of $6 per trip. In relations to Internet, we do offer a complimentary 20mins wireless connection in our lobby or we include it in our King rooms.

If you only have a short time in Sydney, as we did, the location was perfect. The hotel is 5 minutes from the airport and a 5 minute walk to the subway system which will take you to the harbor and the opera house in 20 minutes. The shuttle from the airport will cost you $ 6.00 AU per person. Rooms were spacious and very well equiped. The beds were very comfortable. You will get a good night's sleep for your short stay in Sydney. If you were staying in Sydney for any length of time, I would probably select a hotel closer to downtown. But, for a quick flight turnaround, you can't beat the Holiday In Sydney Airport. The hotel staff was friendly and welcoming, without exception and knows how to cater to the bussiness traveler.
I would have given it a 5 if the wireless internet was free.

Recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Sydney Airport for two nights (Fri/Sat) the room was good and had a nice view of the airport if you like watching the planes. Bed was very comfortable and the pillow selection is a good idea. The only disappointment was having to pay $3.50 for a glass of soda water at the bar. Come on Food and Beverage Manger surely it doesn't cost that much for a glass of aerated water. Will buy my own bottle from the supermarket in future.

Booked here, having staed previously, to collect my daughter who was returning home after 2 years aboard. Very convenient to the Airport, although the weekend I was there the train service was replaced by buses. The staff were very helpful and the evening meal was excellent. Definately choose here again.

Just stayed one night after arriving on late flight in Sydney. We drove there with our own car. Self parking was $15 and valet parking $30, we used the latter. The hotel is clean and we were impressed with the staff. We went to reception late at night for a wall adapter for our computer and they really did everything they could to assist and came up with exactly the right thing. The room was comfortable, on the smallish side (we did not take a standard room because we like rooms a bit more spacious) and everything was up to standard. I did expect a little more modern or luxurious room, but it was still good. Gym was basic but good enough for short stay. Breakfast was good enough.
