“Great value, great food but if it's busy...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 17, 2013 via mobile

We ate here twice in 3 nights when staying in Manly. That in itself is a strong recommendation for the quality, variety of dishes on the menu and the value offered in this little cafe. Couple all that with the great decor the place has, as well as a really good 'feel' it has, and you will struggle to get better food at a great price in Sydney. Seriously, $120 for four inc drinks is insane value in Sydney.

Only caveat is that if it is busy, as it was on our second night, the service struggles a little and the noise, particularly inside the small room downstairs, can get pretty loud (although you may not be unlucky enough to have table full of rugby players next to you).

If you go, checkout the artwork, especially in the toilets :)

Highly recommended

“Superb”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013 via mobile

This little gem just off the main drag is now our firm favourite in Manly. Run by an enthusiastic Kiwi, he exudes a welcome as soon as you walk in. Super menu with several dishes not featured anywhere else in the area, and everything we've tried so far has been excellent. Good music rounds off a great night out. If in Manly don't miss this great venue

“Live music, good food & a cosy atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 6, 2012

This cosy Manly venue is perfect for a romantic dinner or a catch up with friends. Live music, an eclectic menu of tapas or larger main meals, BYO, eclectic arty decor and excellent service are just some of the reasons Artichoke Gallery is a Manly favourite.

“What a perfect little treasure”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 1, 2012

We have walked past this place many times in Manly but ended up there by chance one evening in December 2011 and to our surprise it was a most fantastic experience overall. From the very welcoming hosts, to seating next to the Jazz band that serenaded us all night with awesome tunes, to a most eclectic menu of delicious food.
We ordered the Jambalaya and also the Paella and both were equally yummy.

We loved the decor and the ambience overall, very laid back and chilled out.
A place the locals frequent as it's off the Manly beaten track so most tourists don't ever walk past it.

Will definitely be back.
