Description: The Ivanhoe Hotel, a much-loved local pub, is located in the heart of The Corso in Manly on Sydney's Northern Beaches. Offering a refreshing, timeless and sophisticated setting, The Ivanhoe Hotel has a strong emphasis on food, quality and produce. Behind the magnificent heritage facade, The Ivanhoe Hotel's interiors channel a Hamptons-inspired coastal beach vibe while retaining the welcoming and relaxed atmosphere of Manly and a local pub. Boasting 16 indoor and outdoor, relaxed all-weather spaces over three floors, including two of Sydney's most impressive rooftop bars, The Ivanhoe Hotel's spaces are perfect for lunch, dinner, drinks or a night out on the town. The variety of different areas throughout the pub allow guests to tailor their own experiences; whether it is casual large lunches with the whole family, afternoon cocktails in the sun with friends in one of the open-air courtyards, quiet corners for a quick bite to eat or late night celebrations in the surf clubhouse-style second floor bar and open-air rooftop, The Pines. These spaces are also perfect function spots for intimate groups right up to large events of 900 guests. The Ivanhoe Hotel is also home to a boutique bottle shop as well as a dedicated sports bar, situated next door to the main pub, offering one of Sydney's best venues for watching sport with full TAB facilities.

“Lovely balcony in charming renovated pub”
Reviewed December 12, 2013

Get there early and grab a seat on the balcony. From the balcony you can watch the ever-changing life of Manly Corso. The hotel has undergone a fantastic renovation. Very airy and welcoming for all ages. The food is excellent and inexpensive. Great for a night out with friends.

“Great pub food at great pub prices”
Reviewed November 22, 2013 via mobile

On a 'girls weekend' and looking for a good meal at a place with atmosphere, we entered the Ivanhoe Hotel with high hopes. And we were not disappointed. At 7.30 pm there were already many groups of people eating and drinking in the deceptively large pub/dining area. The clientele was a broad mix of young and older people. there were no family groups with young kids, as it is probably not somewhere you would go with a young family for dinner. But I am sure a lunchtime visit would be different. We found a table toward the rear and studied the menu.

The menu featured the usual pub fare - schnitzels, pizzas, hamburgers, fish & chips etc as well as some more interesting items: pork sliders, morrocan burgers, as well as some very reasonably priced cocktails.

I had the pork sliders - 3 small burgers overflowing with spiced pulled pork (which was juicy and tender) with lettuce tomato and aioli, served with chips. My friends had the warm chicken salad (with plenty of chicken and avocado), the chicken schnitzel with (lots of) chips and the salt & pepper squid with (lots of chips).

As we were finishing our meals we were delighted to see and hear live music begin. A trio began playing some 'golden oldies' adding to the noisy fun of the place.

With reasonable drink prices, great food and a fun atmosphere you cannot go past the Ivanhoe Hotel for a great Friday night out.

“great lunch spot”
Reviewed October 12, 2013

I had lunch there on a Friday, the place was very quiet, very different to weekends. The lunch menu is quite extensive so there is something for most tastes. I had the chicken Caesar salad, which is a very large serve and i enjoyed it. you have to go to bar to order as with getting drinks but the delivery of food to the tables is with a smile and the tables are cleared and cleaned quickly. Very pleasant.

“Nice simple pub meal”
Reviewed October 7, 2013

Went to the Ivanhoe for dinner and to watch the Rugby League finals. Place was packed, yet the staff were still friendly, and efficient. The meals were typical Bar meals, but in saying that they were enjoyable, all our meals were large. Prompt service was a surprise with the amount of people there. Good value for money. Place obviously had a renovation, and it is quite lovely inside.

“Hard to beat $10 steak!”
Reviewed October 1, 2013

A typical pub setting serving good pub foods. The $10 steak, which has remained $10 for quite a few years, is generous in portion and served with salads and chips. Sure, there are other choices in the menu too. The atmosphere is friendly and a bit rowdy, but it's a pub after all. The place has had a recent facelift giving it a brighter atmosphere.
