Description: The Ivanhoe Hotel, a much-loved local pub, is located in the heart of The Corso in Manly on Sydney's Northern Beaches. Offering a refreshing, timeless and sophisticated setting, The Ivanhoe Hotel has a strong emphasis on food, quality and produce. Behind the magnificent heritage facade, The Ivanhoe Hotel's interiors channel a Hamptons-inspired coastal beach vibe while retaining the welcoming and relaxed atmosphere of Manly and a local pub. Boasting 16 indoor and outdoor, relaxed all-weather spaces over three floors, including two of Sydney's most impressive rooftop bars, The Ivanhoe Hotel's spaces are perfect for lunch, dinner, drinks or a night out on the town. The variety of different areas throughout the pub allow guests to tailor their own experiences; whether it is casual large lunches with the whole family, afternoon cocktails in the sun with friends in one of the open-air courtyards, quiet corners for a quick bite to eat or late night celebrations in the surf clubhouse-style second floor bar and open-air rooftop, The Pines. These spaces are also perfect function spots for intimate groups right up to large events of 900 guests. The Ivanhoe Hotel is also home to a boutique bottle shop as well as a dedicated sports bar, situated next door to the main pub, offering one of Sydney's best venues for watching sport with full TAB facilities.

“Unfriendly drinking conditions”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

Venue very good with good pub food; service OK for counter service.
Restaurant wine list very limited and ordinary, so I purchased a bottle of wine from their own bottle shop but then told their license does not allow it to be consumed in their restaurant. I even offered to pay corkage but told no chance.
Give me a break.
No such laws, simply hotel policy to charge inflated prices. Even more annoying when hotel staff claim non-existent laws to justify commercial policy.
So, I left with bitter taste when it could haver been a positive review.

“hambuger no good !”
Reviewed June 21, 2013

went for a walk to manly last weekend. thought i would try out the new ivanhoe hotel after a recent renovations. ordered the first thing on the menu " the ivanhoe burger " thought that a simple burger would be hard to go wrong but ! not shaw if there was any meat in the beef pattie and it was made on a bread roll not a hambuger bun. a hambuger should be on a hambuger bun ! i also saw a pull pork burger it looked very plan with no bbq sauce on it ! took a good 5 min just to order a beer & burger ! i was watching the footy on the big screen and one of the staff came and stood right in front of the televison while i was watching ! not very bright !

“Great pub!!”
Reviewed June 21, 2013

This Hotel is stunning inside. A wide sweeping stairway and renovated old look and feel to it. The vibe is wonderful and really makes you feel at home. Seemed very popular with the locals. Staff and service was excellent. Was happy with my food and not overly priced either.

“Good food, nice pub”
Reviewed June 15, 2013

We took the Ferry from Circular Quay to Manly. A short walk from the Ferry terminal we came across the Ivanhoe. The Pub is modern with several levels, one includes a Bistro. You can get food on most of the floors and the menus are slightly different. We eat on the first floor, we had a mixed plate for two and chicken wings. Unless ur really hungry you would only need one plate, the portion sizes are quite large. The food was good pub food and reasonably priced, I think we paid $40. We would eat their again, aye try the Bistro next time.

“Great pub”
Reviewed May 29, 2013

Took our 4 and 2 year old for lunch on Sunday. Divine interiors...great to go into such a clean and welcoming pub. All ages were there, from young to old. Mix of small and large groups.
It is a pub so you do have to order at bar. It isn't a restaurant so if you want someone to come take your order etc then go somewhere else.
Nothing left on the plates of our kids fish and chips. My husband and I both had the snapper (he had veg and I had a beetroot salad...you can choose from 4 sides) and we couldn't fault it. Fresh, delicious and reasonable wait time.
Can't wait to go back and try other items. Two large menus to choose from.
So good to see a quality pub like this on the north side.
