this is by far the worst hotel i have ever stayed in. with the money i paid i would have been better off in a caravan. the room was filthy and falling apart the bed was like sleeping on the floor. i was avoiding going back there to sleep at night. i shant go there again and recomend no one else go there .

Room Tip: try a back packers

I booked a family room (4 guests max) Turned out to have a very uncomfortable double & two sets of single bunks - this is in a room around 12ft by maybe 14ft at the max. The first room we were put in had a plastic bag over the fire alarm & I dread to think of what the odour was in that room. We were moved to a lower floor .
The carpet was thread bare in some places & the bed linen was a lovely shade of grey. The towels had holes & the tea towel looked like a piece of rag. TV was very small & located in the wardrobe placed on top of a set of drawers. This therefore could not be seen from the bunks Kitchen cupboard door dropped down when opened & 'fridge was so unstable that there was a fear of it tumbling forward. The lift is the scariest one I have ever been in so we used the stairs most of the time. They tried to charge $498.00 for 2 nights but I told them that is unacceptable so they offered to refund $100.00 - I said I would take nothing less than $150.00 which they then refunded.
The only thing this place has going for it is the restaurant downstairs - it was sensational

Room Tip: My tip is "stay away form here"

This hotel is so overrated on the website. Photos do not reflect the sad reality of this shabby place. I didnt even want to walk on the carpet without shoes. There are obvious stains everywhere of dubious origin. This place should be kept for those who rent by the hour. Actually even they deserve better. I feel sorry for anyone who thinks this place is acceptable, even with the great location.

The only thing going for it is because it is near UNSW at the ANZAC Parade side of the huge campus - The room issued to me cannot be listed as prestine - bed side light unserviceable - switch kaput and room checkers did not notice - wah ! Reception is not exactly very good in service - acceptable standard - the room light is very dim and TV too small - no WIFI in room , the furniture really needs to be updated - the bed was not exactly comfortable and carpet could do with a decent clean.
Tea / Coffee was provided with crockery but no spoons to stir the tea .

The sound insulation is poor so was somewhat noisy and curtains did not really keep out the road traffic noise - the view well - non as I had a room that looked at the next building's staircase .

The main Chinese restaurant does not look very appealing and wow price they ask for breakfast - better to go across the road and eat at the coffee shop .

Room Tip: I guess if you want a view ( if you can call it that ) ask for room facing the road - but then you h...

No major problems here we booked kinda last minute and wanted sometime reasonable as we were coming to the end of our holiday. we booked in oct wasn't hot so don't know what the air conditioning is like that you would need in the summer months. The car parking is free which is a plus for Sydney but you have to go up the ramp with your bags to get to the entrance of the hotel the same ramp cars are coming down to get into the car park. Its kinda steep and seems like it could be a safety issue especially with kids. They were polite in reception. The room was clean. Its a place 4 people on a budget bus out side runs to the city regularly. It would be ok if you were sightseeing leaving in the morning and coming back to sleep just because while there was nothing majorly wrong with it, it wasn't great either fairly run down and not the kinda place you or with the facilites that would want to make y

Hotel was booked for a quick overnight stay. Good value for money if you want something your only going to sleep in, not exactly the place I would choose to stay if I was entertaining guests, or spending the night in watching tv. Although cheap price range does make it extremely affordable considering the central location. perfect for an over night stay if your venturing into the city.
