Stayed here for a week as we searched for somewhere more permanent to live after moving to Sydney. What a disappointment.
The major issue is there is a severe lack of hot water available to each room, that lasts for no more than 4-5minutes. Nowhere near long enough for 2 people to take a shower. Barely enough time even if you're quick.
We complained about this on the first morning and so began a complete lack of service. First the telephone number provided in the room doesn't work, it's actually a fax number! So I had to call reservations who passed me on to the on site caretaker. He did nothing to help merely telling me there was a small tank and you won't get any more hot water. So I called back the head office to complain and was passed through to Tanya, the operations manager.
She too admitted that there was a small water tank, that the hot water supply was very limited and that this was a frequently received comment. Why then is nothing being done about it?
We had to wait 30minutes until we could have another hot shower.
She said that a plumber would come round the next day to check there was no technical problem that was limiting the supply.
I left a note in the room saying we had showers again that night and the hot water again expired after less than 5 minutes.
It was clear that no-one entered the room or read that note at any stage of our stay.
Needless to say the plumber never came and I never heard back from Tanya again. I even left a message for her 2 days after the original complaint and still there was no reply. We gave up complaining and couldn't wait to leave.
Not only was there minimal hot water, they do not clean the room, make the beds or remove any rubbish throughout your stay. Actually you are expected to dispose of all your own rubbish otherwise you are threatened with paying a cleaning charge, how ironic, what service had I already paid for then? Seemingly none.
Furthermore, the TV remote didn't work, the room smelt stale (how long since the bed throw and curtains had been washed was very questionable), and you may check in with all your bags only to then be informed you're staying over the road and need to lug all your cases over there without any assistance.
This place doesn't come cheap so the complete lack of service and absence to respond to our complaints left us overwhelmingly disappointed. Fortunately the Best Western motel we moved into made up for all this.
