“Fantastic food and service”
Reviewed October 22, 2013 credit card Amex Card Member Review

We recently went to Limoncello and enjoyed a wonderful evening. We were greeted warmly by the host and introduced to our waiter. The food was excellent as was the service. We have been to this restaurant a number of times and have always had a very enjoyable time. The atmosphere is great and I look forward to going to Limoncello again soon.

“Always consistently good”
Reviewed June 18, 2013 via mobile

Very traditional Italian in the heart of double bay. Service is impeccable and food consistently good. Also great early in the evening with the kids.

“Best in the Bay”
Reviewed April 14, 2013

Lot of great memories at this venue! In the 70's it was the famous Eliza's! Now it's a fab Italian restaurant!
Sit out on the deck have a Wonderful Italian meal washed down by a Triestino beer! Doesn't get much better than this!
We go probably 3 times a month, as my wife is Italian and rates this place, and is fussy about her Italian cuisine! She gives this place a big plus! She says the spaghetti with pippin is divine! So just go! It's great! Love the hot salami pizza!

“A Great Standby If You're in the Area”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

I really this place. They care about food, they care about service and whenever we dine there the chances are you'll be in the company of loyal locals who treat it as an extension of their dining room. The staff are warm but professional and almost always Italian. The ingredients are fresh, meals are rustic but expertly prepared and they make excellent pizzas in the wood-fired oven.
The only aspect that may disappoint some searching for an Italian restaurant is that there is a limited choice of pasta dishes although the ones they offer are always excellent.

“This was an unexpected gem”
Reviewed November 15, 2012

On a recent trip to visit our son in Double Bay my husband and I were trying to find somewhere to eat dinner on a Friday night, close to where we were staying in Knox Street. The hotel compendium had a short list and Limoncello was on it. We rang and made a reservation. It was a short walk on a trendy quiet street with hotels and a wine bar nearby. We were instantly impressed by the largely Italian staff, who were very welcoming. The place was busy and full of good noise and lovely aromas. We had three courses, all of which were scrumptious. The Sydney oysters were big and delicious. The food came at a good pace and the service remained constant as well throughout. The wine came from the Riverina, which was another Italian touch. The decor was consistent with the theme. A very pleasant atmosphere was created by the satisfied diners. All round very impressive and I thought very good value for money. Much better value than some of the more trendy, well known city eateries, who are dining out on a reputation previously gained and no longer earned. A short taxi drive from all eastern suburbs, worth the trip I felt.
