I had dinner there last night with two friends as a mid-week treat to ourselves.

Although the food was quite nice (especially loved the chicken dumplings and dessert that were both included in the banquet), our night was ruined by the rude waiter (or boss? of the place).

He was very impatient when we asked for water for the table and then made a big fuss that there were 3 of us sharing a banquet for two - despite the fact that we also ordered other dishes on top of the banquet!

We explained to him that we are also ordering other dishes and it does not bother us that we have 1 extra person on the table. But he wouldn't let it go. If the fact that we had 3 persons on the table didn’t bother us, why should it bother him?

Then all the waiters and waitresses started harassing us and kept coming to the table asking if we were done with our dinner - when we had food on our plates and forks in our hands!!!

Anyway we still finished dinner and again I must say that the ice-cream-like dessert with a cashew on top was quite nice. But will never ever go there again - mood killing restaurant. Very disappointed.

BTW Dinner starts 5.30pm and no one would answer the phone until 5.20pm. Expect the machine if you call before then.

A bit less spicy than Indian, lighter sauces and very flavorsome. We go regularly and recommend to everyone. The only thing To watch out for is they're not open for lunch.

moved to a bigger location (was the old bai yok restaurant) the decor is minumin wth a large tv screen at the back of the restaurant, which would be great at a pub but not at a restaurant! i went there for a friends birthday and was given the vegetarian options of the set menu, one word dry! very stodgy, little flavour and no bread! i had to request some and that was even very doughy. very nice staff but missed the mark.
