Great menu that offered unusual dishes. The service was good and the food was delicious. Highly recommended. The only down side was that it isn't BYO and it was very noisy. Also as we were booking a table of more than 8 we had to leave credit car details and they have a policy that if you do not cancel before 48 hours of the booking they will charge $200 to your card. On principal if I hadn't already arranged the night with other family members I would have cancelled and gone elsewhere. Okay if you have less than 8 people.

Having read and heard many raves we were bitterly disappointed by our dinner last night. We had booked a table for two and were first to arrive at 6pm. Although there was already a stiff breeze we were shown to a sloping table on the ramp leading to the entrance. Fortunately we both had jackets and as the wind picked up we dined in coats. There were three outdoor heaters but one near us was "broken". The others were lit but after half an hour one of those ran out of gas. The guests inside were in groups of 4+ but even those near the door left their jackets on. To make matters worse we could barely read the menu as the overhead light was "out'. That also meant we could not enjoy the presentation. Having said that, the dumplings and fish tasted delicious.

Group of eight, six of us ordered the $55 banquet. Food was amazing, but their portion sizes are not adequate.
Banquet consisted of six dishes shared- one small prawn in an egg net, one chicken & prawn dumpling, one scallop (which was considered to be a main) and salt & pepper calamari.
The next two mains we assumed would be the substantial part of the banquet, however the pork belly arrived at the table- one small piece per person, and then the massaman lamb shanks arrived- 2 shanks to share between everyone. We were so disappointed at this that we had to say something to the waitress & another serving was brought to the table. They also threw in some steamed Asian greens & boiled rice.
We sat in envy watching our two other diners who had ordered a main each and were satisfied with their portion sizes.
With a bill of $485 including two bottles of wine, prepare for an expensive night.
After expressing our disappointment over the banquet they brought a complimentary banana fritters & ice cream for each of us.
Agree with previous reviews regarding wait staff and atmosphere, both are lacking.
Expected more- avoid the banquet.

This restaurant is a lovely surprise. The food was nothing short of exceptional, a modern twist on traditional Thai. The flavours were fresh and it felt like we were eating 'slowfood'. I wouldn't describe it as Thai food but rather as Asian infused modern fare, similar to the Billy/Kylie Kwong experience. The service was very good, however we did arrive early at 6pm and by the time we left around 7:30pm, the restaurant was packed and had a really positive vibe and so I'm not sure how the wait staff handles the later service. The only negative was that the space itself is noisy, a bit like a concrete bunker and the martini my husband had was sweet with some sort of added mixer and could not be described as an authentic martini...more like an alcho-pop. Glad I ordered a glass of pinot gris. We recommend this restaurant highly to discerning foodies. Enjoy!
