“Arguably the best place to eat on the strip.”
Reviewed June 27, 2014

This is a great place to have breakfast, brunch or lunch in Balmain. The coffee is excellent, the service is friendly and efficient, and the food is truly delicious. Plus, given its quality, it's a bargain. It has a friendly, happy vibe and the wait staff are smiley and discrete. The quality of the meals makes it one of the best places to eat on Darling Street; a lovely French/Mediterranean/Mod Oz combo.

“Great breakfast place”
Reviewed April 14, 2014

There is a good selection for breakfast. The ingredients used are fresh and some thought has gone into the flavour of the dishes. There's a good choice of freshly made juices too. The staff are great, very attentive and welcoming.

“Lamb Mince Claypot & Turkish Breakfast”
Reviewed January 25, 2014

I love trying new restaurants and cafes. I love it more when the cafe has all-day brunch and a unique dish on the menu other than the usual eggs benedict and omelette. This cafe appears to have a turkish touch on the menu, and also 3 types of pancakes on offer. It does look good!

Predictably, we chose the Lamb Mince Claypot and the Turkish Breakfast (can't recall what you call it on the menu). Have a look at the pics. The lamb was certainly yummy, moist. The eggs are just hiding under the greens and above the mince. It's great. The Turkish is nice too, more on the vegetarian front. The bread's awesome - dense and nice crust.

Go try.

“Friendly staff, small menu, but great food”
Reviewed January 3, 2014

Le Cafeier has been my regular Balmain breakfast-brunch destination for a few months now.

The staff are super friendly, always smiling and attentive.

The coffee is one of the best I have had in Sydney.

Their all day breakfast and lunch menu is limited - there are specials at times - but the food has been top-notch.

Limited outdoor seating, and plenty of seating inside, this small cafe is the perfect place to relax, read the paper and start the day!
