Acqualina Resort & Spa on the Beach
Ranked #1 of 10 Hotels in Sunny Isles Beach
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed January 21, 2014

The Aqualina is located on the beach at Sunny Isles, Miami Beach. It has all facilities to a nice season on the beach side of Miami. The rooms are big, well equiped and very nice decoration. It has 2 restaurants one of the them Il Molino that is one of the best in the área. But the best part of the hotel are the swimming pools and the beach infrastructure that are very nice. It is na ideal hotel to a Family vacation on the beach.

Room Tip: All rooms are in front of the beach with nice balcony.

This is a beautiful classic style hotel on hotel row in north Miami. The hotel successfully combines permanent residents with hotel guests. The staff is outstanding and are all graduates of the "good manners" school. The food is not only beautiful but delicious. There are many foreign guests and lots of security. One fun item is the parking area near the front, it looks like a luxury car show place, I saw several guests taking pictures of the cars. The rooms are lovely in beige tones, my only negative comment is that they hung the same art work in both rooms of the suite. This is a 5 star ++ hotel.

Room Tip: Your choice is ocean or intercostal water way, both lovely views but intercostal while a little less...

I've traveled to many places and this hotel is the best. The decor, service, and food are top of line. The rooms are immaculate!!! We always get ocean view on the high floor.Never had a problem with anything here and we have been here more than 3 times.Don't forget the spa!!!Great prices and it's just beautiful in there. This is my top pick for spas in all of states.Very clean!I love it here from the beach to the rooms. We got stuck here during a hurricane once and it was the best place to ever be during a storm. We are coming back in February for the food and wine festival in Miami. You get what you pay for here and remember 5 stars is not cheap. My son who is nine loves it so much and always compares it to other hotels. They have cooking classes for the kids and many other activities for them to do.

Although our rooms weren't in the best location, facing the intracoastal which meant that the noise from the road was too loud to have the doors open or sit on the balcony, they were beautifully appointed and had superb bathrooms. We were on the 4 for 3 package, and being members of LHW, qualified for the complimentary continental breakfast, which was nice. However we weren't offered an upgrade.
The staff were second to none, and couldn't have been more helpful. Overall a very pleasant stay.

We stayed at the resort for a long birthday weekend and had the most amazing experience! The hotel is exquisite, beautifully decorated and the suite we reserved was one of the most comfortably appointed. upon arrival, we found the kitchen had magically been prepped with almost every delectable amenity we could have asked for! The staff is equally if not even more impressive! To cater to every whim to include anticipating your every need is apparent and seemingly effortless! We had the most amazing weekend and have each of the staff to Thank for making it such a memorable experience!! My husband and I stayed at the Acqualina Resort for 8 nights in December, 2013. Because it's under the umbrella of Leading Hotels of the World, they told us it would be worth our while to join LHW so that we'd get an automatic room upgrade and continental breakfast. Also, LHW had a stay 4/pay 3 nights Special Offer. This made our nightly rate average much more affordable and attractive, considering what their nightly rates usually are! However, when we tried to get the automatic upgrade we were promised, as our room was on the Intracoastal side and you could barely see any water view at all, they told us none were available.
It wasn't until we threatened to leave that we were given an Oceanview Room. From that point onward we just loved everything about the Acqualina. Such security -- something we've truly never experienced before!
Just loved sitting on the red sofas and comfy chairs just off the beach but overlooking the ocean.
The Staff were so friendly and just couldn't do enough for us.
Would return again in a heart-beat -- especially if we can take advantage of the one night free offer!

Room Tip: Though the Intracoastal rooms have separate living rooms, the view cannot compare to the Oceanview R...

I have been a loyal patron of the Acqualina for years and only have positive things to say about the establishment, especially the staff. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome from the minute you step out your car and into the front doors of the hotel. Everyone from the valet, front desk, concierge, maids, pool/beach staff and restaurants make you feel like you are at home. The resort is truly amazing and the rooms are goregous. The grounds are breathtaking and beautiful too. We stayed in a one bedroom suite/condo that was large and spacious with marble floors throughout. Huge balcony accessible from the bedroom and the main living area that faced the ocean and pool. The bathroom was huge with luxurious features, including a jacuzzi and spa like shower. It even had a gourmet kitchen with a microwave, oven, dishwasher and even pots/pans/silverware to make you feel even more at home.

Truly a 5 star establishment that is outstanding and highly recommended to anyone visiting the area!!
