Although our rooms weren't in the best location, facing the intracoastal which meant that the noise from the road was too loud to have the doors open or sit on the balcony, they were beautifully appointed and had superb bathrooms. We were on the 4 for 3 package, and being members of LHW, qualified for the complimentary continental breakfast, which was nice. However we weren't offered an upgrade.
The staff were second to none, and couldn't have been more helpful. Overall a very pleasant stay.

We stayed at the resort for a long birthday weekend and had the most amazing experience! The hotel is exquisite, beautifully decorated and the suite we reserved was one of the most comfortably appointed. upon arrival, we found the kitchen had magically been prepped with almost every delectable amenity we could have asked for! The staff is equally if not even more impressive! To cater to every whim to include anticipating your every need is apparent and seemingly effortless! We had the most amazing weekend and have each of the staff to Thank for making it such a memorable experience!! To those avid TA Reviewers, we highly recommend that you too relish in the splendor that is Acqualina!!

My husband and I stayed at the Acqualina Resort for 8 nights in December, 2013. Because it's under the umbrella of Leading Hotels of the World, they told us it would be worth our while to join LHW so that we'd get an automatic room upgrade and continental breakfast. Also, LHW had a stay 4/pay 3 nights Special Offer. This made our nightly rate average much more affordable and attractive, considering what their nightly rates usually are! However, when we tried to get the automatic upgrade we were promised, as our room was on the Intracoastal side and you could barely see any water view at all, they told us none were available.
It wasn't until we threatened to leave that we were given an Oceanview Room. From that point onward we just loved everything about the Acqualina. Such security -- something we've truly never experienced before!
Just loved sitting on the red sofas and comfy chairs just off the beach but overlooking the ocean.
The Staff were so friendly and just couldn't do enough for us.
Would return again in a heart-beat -- especially if we can take advantage of the one night free offer!

Room Tip: Though the Intracoastal rooms have separate living rooms, the view cannot compare to the Oceanview R...

I have been a loyal patron of the Acqualina for years and only have positive things to say about the establishment, especially the staff. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome from the minute you step out your car and into the front doors of the hotel. Everyone from the valet, front desk, concierge, maids, pool/beach staff and restaurants make you feel like you are at home. The resort is truly amazing and the rooms are goregous. The grounds are breathtaking and beautiful too. We stayed in a one bedroom suite/condo that was large and spacious with marble floors throughout. Huge balcony accessible from the bedroom and the main living area that faced the ocean and pool. The bathroom was huge with luxurious features, including a jacuzzi and spa like shower. It even had a gourmet kitchen with a microwave, oven, dishwasher and even pots/pans/silverware to make you feel even more at home.

Truly a 5 star establishment that is outstanding and highly recommended to anyone visiting the area!!

As you will read, I enjoyed my stay immensely. From the time we arrived to the time we left, we have never felt more “at home” compared with any other resort that I have visited. This great feeling doesn't come attached with the great food we had, or the room we stayed in, or the amenities the resort has to offer; it comes when you combine those features with great caring people who love their job.

The location is perfect hideaway from the normal craziness of a beach resort, but close enough to the South Beach strip in 20 minutes or any of the great restaurants in Miami. Before you try any of those restaurants, make sure you eat "Il Mulino New York" - the 5-star onsite restaurant. The food was outstanding and sitting on the patio made the night very special for my wife and me.

The property is outstanding and highly recommend it!

Room Tip: Beach front is always best!!!!

First the good news. The hotel, including the rooms, are sumptuous and spotless and the staff could not be nicer. The bad news? Advertising and verbal promises were totally misleading, All rooms on the so-called Intracoastal side (half of the hotel) are directly on Collins Av with noise equal to a highway and look onto one of the largest gas stations I have ever seen. The other half of the rooms, facing the Ocean, are subject to the constant noise of the construction of a hotel-owned skyscraper, adjacent to the hotel. Advise: Avoid the Ocean Side of the hotel for at least 1 year and forget about the Intracoastal side forever. Last remark: The lighting in the restaurant is so dark, that staff help you with the light of their cellular phones and the noise (so-called music) is so loud, you can not understand what is offered by the nice waiters.

Room Tip: Do not accept an Intracoastal room. The definition is misleading. Avoid Ocean-side rooms for the n...

Dear Norbert,

Thank you for the feedback.
I have already taken action with the team to improve the lighting and music at Piazzetta to ensure the guests have a comfortable experience.
Yes, it is most unfortunate that construction next door is taking place, however, the team is trained with all the tools available to them to ensure that we minimize the effect on our guests and ensure a seamless experience.

Once again, my sincere apologies for your experience.

I really do not know where to start with my love for Acqualina. I've vacationed in Miami for many years and have stayed at all of the five star properties, I must say this by far was the best. This property pays a lot of attention to detail and make their guests feel extremely welcomed.

We were in town for business and placed in this hotel by our client. On arrival the typical hotel mixup took place where the credit card information wasn't on file, since our rooms were being covered by a third party they had to reconfirm that approval was given for billing. Instead of having us wait in the lobby, they allowed us to check in as things got sorted out...which of course they were. That set the tone for an amazing stay, not every five star property understands customer service but I'm glad to say they get it here.

This resort is truly amazing. The modern decor is beautiful. We stayed in deluxe intracoastal rooms, which exceeded our expectations. You don't have to get an oceanfront room or suite to enjoy a first class luxury experience, which is nice.

The grounds of the resort were really quite pretty. I like the location of it as well, while it's not right on south beach it's not too far from it. Since I was there for business I didn't get a chance to enjoy all of the amenities Acqualina had to offer outside of stopping in their shop in the lobby area to pick up a few things (it wasn't too pricey). And I did get time for a quick massage which was pretty awesome. I'm planning on returning in a couple of months to celebrate my birthday and take full advantage of this amazing place, seriously can not wait!!!!!! If you are going to Miami and want a nice luxury experience without all of the craziness of south beach, stay here. It's well worth it.
