Arrived at the hotel, very hard to locate due to the Sole sign being set back and not visible from the road. Given our room only to find it overlooking a hotel next door, not ocean front as booked. After a complaint we given an oceanfront. In the room no towels soap or any toiletries. We understood that the hotel had a restaurant and a spa. It would seem that we are a few months early. But not to worry we have a kitchen in the suite, no coffee maker, no toaster, still after a few calls we have these items. I had seen a review telling all that this place was heaven on earth, Tempurpedic beds, no, but they are comfortable. The linen is very good quality as are the towels although somewhat small and rare. The rooms are very spacious but they are so devoid of any character, bare walls everywhere you look. It would just take a picture on the wall and a bowl on the table or a vase to give that lived in feeling. No bedside lamps, one small lamp in the lounge area that we took into the bedroom in order to read as there is no TV in the bedroom. A good size flatscreen in the lounge gives us the only light in that area. To get to the pool you have to go thru the garage and along the side of the hotel, today there is dog turd ( I THINK) and the area has not seen a broom for a while. After getting to the small pool area a few tables and chairs and 3 wicker enclosed seats, no loungers by the pool but for a few bucks there are loungers on the beach. Many other things, the elevators will be very nice when they are finished, they do go up and down but inside are not completed. The carpets in the halls look very well worn, and again could do with a good vacuum. On the up side the weather is great, such a shame that the hotel is not.

I booked 2 rooms at this hotel for Miami Carnival this past weekend. The hotel nor staff was very accomodating. They lacked professionalism and could not provide the basics that a hotel should provide. They could not accomodate the request for 2 rooms to be together even though we requested this 4 weeks in advance. One room was on the 7th floor the other on the 15th. That was the best they could do. One room was not ready till 6pm and then they gave me the keys to a room that was already occupied. I had to go back down stairs with all my stuff and my 4 month old-and this is 3 hours after our room should have been ready. They didn't even apologize for the inconveinence and they knew we were traveling w/kids.Once getting into the right room, there were dirty dishes in the dishwasher, smudges on the mirrors, 2 towels, no washcloths. They couldn't even provide us with dishwasher soap. Why would you have a dishwasher and no soap to use it???We asked for 1 extra blanket and an extra pillow and they could not provide us with it due to them being "sold out". One room had a plasma, the other had an old school TV. I asked to speak with the GM and I never received a call. The elevators and hallways were not very clean. The list goes on. The product is nice, rain head shower is great and the views were spectacular, but the service and ammenities sucked! They have a long way to go...

My family and I had a great time in Miami. We were told that the beach was nicer as you go a little north and it is. The sand behind Sole was very clean and family friendly. The hotel is new and furniture is very stylish. The atmosphere is relaxed, not stuffy, we liked that. It made us feel comfortable as we walked around. The restaurant is not open yet but there a few good places within walking distance. Denny's for breakfast and try Timo's for dinner, it was really good. Aventura Mall is close, it’s a huge mall. The rooms were beautiful but did not have a lot of amenities. They had everything you needed but no mini bar or luggage rack, not a big deal since the beds were so comfortable. I suggest this hotel to anyone. Have Fun!

Booked s one night stay for my son and me. The room was not like any of the photos found on websites. Went to shower at night and there was only one towel. My reservation was for two guests. When you call the number for guest services or housekeeping it rings busy. That is ridiculous. Also went to the beach in the morning and a hotel employee comes and informs me that the beach chairs are for rent even to hotel guests. I have never heard of such craziness. I am so disappointed in this place. What a horrible experience and waste of money

we decided to follow our travel agents advice on this hotel. based on the pictures, of their website, we thought we scored.

little did we know it would be one of the worst experience ever experienced in Miami.

In all fairness, i must begin by saying the hotel, looks like it just opened.
the actual layout of the sole is very nice. my happiness was short lived, by the time we arrived at the check in counter.

the staff at check in were not friendly, and borderline rude. we prepayed for our room, and didn't understand why it took over 45 minutes to check in( we were the only ones at the counter), our hotel reservation specified 2 rooms with a kitchenette, once we entered the room, we realized the room had 1 room and the kitchenette.

we obviously went back to the front desk, and they rudely informed us, that there were no ther rooms available. my two daughters slept on a couch(not a pull out) and we hoped this situation would be resolved in the morning, IT WASN'T!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the hotel manager, told us we ha no choice but to stick with this room, we had a non refund policy, so we were stuck.

My story just began:

1- there are no lights in the rooms and in the bathrooms- we asked for lamps, and only received one lamp 3 days later, now thats service!
2- corridors are full of dust, i knew our floor was not vacumed once , as there were the same traces of foot prints the whole week.
3- the bathrooms do not flush
4-room was full of dust, my husband had to go to walmart and buy proper cleaning products, as it was really emabarassing
5-beach service cost 10$ per chairs, we opted to rent the chairs at the nearby hotel(doubletree) as they were more ergonomic , compared to the white strapped 1970 beach chairs sole uses.
6-there is no restaurant-apparently under construction
7-no gym- apparently under construction
8- on Saturday, there were many people at the pool bar, and were apparently not even hotel guests, just friend of the hotel staff. they were very loud, and disruptive .
9-here are no phones in the rooms

i sincerely recommend any future guest, to double check prior to their departure, that the room they booked, is the actual room they will receive.

the sole, needs a crash course in hotel managment, and fast if they want to last.

We stayed one week at Sole. The location could not be better, (Aventura mall is 10 minutes, Bal Harbour Mall 10 minutes, South Beach is a nice 20 minutes trip) rooms are new, and the style of the hotel is very nice. They are finishing the amenities so the price is very low!!.

I guess all the ameninties will be ready for the last cuarter of 2009. I will be there next year!!

Sole On The Ocean is a beautiful resort located on Sunny Isles Beach. The views of the ocean were breathtaking. The rooms, though a little dusty (due to recent renovations), were actually quite comfortable. The shower was awesome. As beautiful as the resort was, there were a few minor things that should be noted. There are no phones in your room. The hotel doesn't have washcloths but they have plenty of towels. There is not a restaurant on the premises yet. The pool is NOT an infinity pool, it is a regular heated outdoor pool.
So if you don't mind calling the front desk from your own cell phone and if you can survive without any room service, then by all means, check this place out! I'm sure that once Sole' irons out all of the kinks from being brand new, it will be one of the most talked about resorts in Sunny Isles.
