Resort is old with no renovation. It has 4 or 5 floors with elevator. Most of the rooms have partial sea view. Our room was turned to the other side then the pool was. There is a privite beach club and one night during our 6 day stay they played live music in this beach club. The music stopped at 10 PM and was very loud so be aware of this. Rooms are simple, nice, they have everything you may need during your stay. Some rooms have kitchen. There is frindge and coffee maker in each room (our group of 5 took 2 rooms and the kitchen was in one only) I liked the housekeeping service. They kept our room clean every day.Breakfast included in the price are simple - continental. One choice from: cereal with milk, bagel, jam with cream cheese or 2 toasts with creamchees and jam. Small glass with orange juice and as much coffee as you like. But you can order full breakfast in the restaurant from menu approx 6 USD per person. The thing I did not like is that I had to stop each morning at the reception in the lobby and ask them for breakfast voucher. I do not understand why I had to do this. It would be easier to give our room number to the waiter and skip the voucher process. Next what I did not like is the pool staff. They seemed to me quite unpatient to foreign people with language barriers. They are lazy when you need something, but they are too active when they want to close and lock the chairs. They should be open by 5 pm but they start collecting the chairs much earlier so you can not relax. Again each morning you have to ask them for towels, wait for towels, ask them for chairs and they show you free ones. For 10 USD a resort fee a day per room they should behave much nicer to customers. Tip them and they start moving. The lobby is spacious. There is car rental, tour desk in the lobby. You have to pay extra for parking: 8 USD per day, or valet 10 USD per day. There is no free parking available in this area. The resort fee is 10 USD per room per day. It includes free local calls, USA today, two beach or pool chairs per room, free shuttle service to Aventura mall (three times a day) and South Beach (twice a day). Umbrellas or Tiki are not included in the resort fee and they are 5 USD a day. There is an S Bus stop right in front of the hotel and this bus takes you to South beach for 2 USD a person. We did not try it and probably it will take long drive down. There is CVS, Publix right accross the street. All the chain stores are in the neighbourhood: Ross, Marchall, Aventura Mall, MC Donals, Burger King, ...you may need car, bus to reach these. The beach is nice, water clear, area quiete.
