Food was pretty good - but the VIEW was spectacular and worth it for the trip alone. A bit on the pricier side relatively but I would say this spot is a must visit while in the area. The view is tremendous, as John Glenn might say.

This was my second visit. Rented a car and drove from PV just to get to see this beautiful restaurant again. That view cannot be beat. Very peaceful. The salads and appetizers are excellent. I hope I get a chance to return again someday.

Wonderfull meal. Gorgeous views at sunset. A little on the expensive side for the area though. Steaks where fantastic and the lobster bisque was to die for.

The view is incredible, from the cliff top you can see the whole bay , the towns of Rincon, Guayabitos and La Penita.
Food is delicios but pricier than most places in the area, a good place for a special event

Vista Guayabitos has an incredible view of the ocean, the beach and the town below. We went there for lunch thinking that maybe the prices would be lower for lunch, but it seems that they have only one menu.
The prices are higher than most other places in town, I would say they are comparable to Canadian prices, but the view is so incredible (especially if you're lucky to go on a sunny day) that it makes up for the higher prices.
We had a pina colada (60 pesos), mojito (80 pesos), 2 soups (60 pesos each), shrimp wrapped in bacon with rice and salad (200 pesos), fish fillet stuffed with other seafood in creamy sauce (210 pesos), chocolate brownie with ice cream (70 pesos). With tip we paid 850 pesos total.

Food:
Drinks were very good - pina colada was creamy and incredible. Mojito was minty and not too sweet. The soups (tortilla soup and lobster bisque) were well done, creamy and delicious.
The mains were very good as well - the shrimp were enormous, the fish was fluffy, fresh and the creamy sauce was a nice complement. It was a lot of food. The chocolate brownie was warmed up and with nuts with creamy vanilla ice cream.

Presentation
The presentation was good, but I think it can still be improved. They advertise themselves as a fine dining establishment on their website, and the prices are high, but, there are many details that were missing. The table cloths weren't nice (not in line with the level of dining they are trying to be). We didn't get any water complimentary - in fact, the table wasn't even set when we got there. The sun shades above us were torn in places and we didn't even get cloth napkins when our meals arrived. The cutlery was old and rundown.
Now this may sound like nitpicking, however, for a restaurant that charges prices way higher than its competition and advertises itself as a fine dining establishment, the details are very important.

Service:
Our waiter was courteous but uninterested. No smile and no thank you when we left. The food arrived in good time, but we didn't feel too welcome.

Overall, I would recommend this place for the view and the quality of the food. They do not accept credit cards and you can make a reservation by emailing them (email on their website)
