“Amazing family friend fiesta”
Reviewed June 23, 2017 for a stay in June 2017

My girlfriend and I, Timory, celebrated our 50th birthday at Villa Caleta and Viilla Violeta. The two properties work very well for a larger party, and all of our guests were able to bask in both spectacular properties as well as eight fantastic meals by the private chef's. It is secluded but the private beach and the villa activities are endless . Sunbathing on a private beach? Check. Quick drive to san pancho for wonderful artistan shops and restaurants? Check. Sayulita is another 20 minutes away also a charming and hip destination, however I have to mitt we were so happy at the villas my only real trip there was to hit an ATM. LOL The concierge Yesika and the entire staff was responsive to all our needs, I felt like the rich and famous! This is the only way to vacay!!!

“A Whole Other Planet Called Paradise”
Reviewed June 9, 2017 for a stay in May 2017

I had the good fortune of staying at this awesome property. I slept in Violeta and spent most of my time in Villa Caleta, that is separated by a private beach because of our group situation. Each villa is equally as awesome. If you are a large group I highly recommend booking both villas so this magical place is entirely yours, but sharing the beach with one other small group is not a bad thing either. Our group had both villas so we were totally in our own world.
The rooms in Villa Caleta are stunning too, with thoughtful finishes from the bedding to the tiles they chose for the bathroom.
Each morning I got up and strolled over the beach to Villa Caleta and had coffee and then breakfast on the gorgeous deck at 9am.
The table was set very nicely for each meal. Breakfast for our group was usually fresh fruit and juices, and a mexican type of egg dish. I know they can cook to your dietary needs there. Our group was easy and we just let them prepare whatever they wanted and the food was great and as fresh as it can get. Some of our group went fishing and gave the catch to the chef. That was one of the best pieces of prepared fish I've ever had and the ceviche was amazing as well. So were the cocktails! Dinners were all three course starting with a composed salad, entree and side, and a homemade desert.
Both houses have really good sound systems and are designed for and by music lovers. We had a constant Sonos "war" going and spent our nights listening to music we picked off our own spotify lists via wifi in Villa Caleta and then one night played records (there is an awesome collection) at Villa Violeta. Any time we were at Caleta we had music going... a breakfast playlist, a poolside playlist... There were even mini Marshall amps in each room at Caleta for your iphone (or guitar if you brought it).
I'm really into music, so having this as part of our accommodation made the trip that much better. They also have a charging station, which made things easier.

(It sounds crazy to spend a paragraph reviewing sonos and bose speakers at a villa, but it's these details that sets Violeta and Caleta apart. They really think about your experience here from the soap and shampoo they provide in the bathrooms to the wood they chose for the bed frames to the sound systems. Everything is thought about and it made the stay there so nice.)
During the day we hung on the beach swimming, kayaking, and playing disc golf. Then going up to the pool for swimming and cocktails and then dinner on the deck. Yessica, who runs both villas can help organize any activity for you from fishing to yoga, but it's hard to leave once you get there. She was also very helpful with anything else we needed. The staff is awesome too! We went to the near by town called San Pancho for shopping and lunch one day and that was a nice excursion. (Eat at Barricuda, it's awesome!) Sayulita is also very close, but again, you will have a hard time leaving this "whole other planet called paradise."

“Beyond amazing...”
Reviewed April 8, 2017 for a stay in March 2017

It was a unique and exquisite opportunity to experience total tranquility among an incredibly attentive and lively staff. We relaxed in the open air living area with a view of the pacific ocean (and some whales), sat on the beach (or by the pool) reading with a margarita close by, or kayaked out to meet the pelicans on the close by island. And most/more importantly we savoured the delicious gourmet meals created by the chefs at Villa Caleta.

“This is paradise on earth.”
Reviewed February 26, 2017 for a stay in February 2017

This exceeded our expectations (and, they were pretty high) and only left us wishing we booked for 2 weeks instead of 1 week. The house is beautiful with stunning views. It is kept impeccable! This is our second time (first was at Villa Violeta) so we were happy to see that the same staff was there to greet us. We absolutely love Martin, Teresa, Excael, Mayra, Raquel, Lalo, Luis, Margerito, German and the lovely Yesika. Of course, we also loved Oso and my favorite donkey, Lindo. Each of them made sure that our stay was perfect. We can't wait to go back to this hidden paradise. The food prepared by Excael and Teresa is absolutely phenomenal and some of the best we have ever had (and, we know our food!). I cannot adequately express just how wonderful this place is...but, if you ever get the opportunity to do this, it is a definite MUST!

“A trip we won't soon forget!”
Reviewed February 20, 2017 for a stay in February 2017

Wanted to take a moment to let the world know how magical our time was at Villa Violeta and Villa Caleta. Our 20 person family rented both - 10 adults, 10 children (ages 7-15). It was a dream vacation for all! The staff was incredible (the homes were impeccably clean and well organized and the food was fresh/delicious. Yesika and the team made sure we always had fresh beverages and guacamole, even the coolers brought to the beach were full of cold beer and water! We were safe and secluded and well taken care of. From pinatas to a beach bonfire, from sun up to sun down (weather was unbelievable - not buggy/too hot), every one of us would tell you it was a trip of a lifetime...one we're sure to experience again (and again!). Why reinvent the wheel! We've found it! xo

“A Jungle Jewel”
Reviewed September 12, 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Villa Caleta is the newly opened sister villa of Villa Violeta, which bookends the beautiful private beach in the jungle of San Pancho. This stunning villa offers indoor/outdoor luxury at the highest level--truly beyond expectation or imagination. It reflects such TLC in its attention to esthetics and comfort. The design of the Villa offers a sense of communal warmth, with its grand central living room space--and the multi-tiered bedrooms, baths, verandas, patios afford visitors privacy and fairy tale nooks and crannies--you want to nestle and luxuriate in each one! The graceful curves and flow of the villa have the sense of Mediterranean magic...
As part of a group of 8 visiting the Villa in August, I felt like I was in a nostalgic summer retreat.
The wonderful Yesika, who handles all guest services, is delightful, and helpful in every way. The amazing staff anticipates and sees through to every combination of amenities, from Kayaks and snorkeling, poolside/beach refreshments...throughout the day...
We were pampered with the most incredible combination of comfort and luxury--a gently ringing bell would announce the arrival of each gourmet meal-- expertly prepared by Chef Exael and presented on the veranda above turquoise waves and glistening coves! Tropical fruits, homemade salsas, fresh tortillas and eggs in the morning--giving way to mid-day ceviches of the freshest local fish and seafood--
Afternoons poolside with made-to-order cocktails thanks to Martin the mixologist! At this magical hour it would be almost impossible to speak--each of us lost in jaw-dropping neon/pearly/swirling sunsets that defy description. This is paradise!!
And then lingering dinner -feasts on the veranda with sparkling sky and sea -and the sense of being so very fortunate to share this utterly splendid space and time with friends and family.
Villa Caleta, is a jungle jewel that should not be missed. It's the most fun, relaxing, restorative and beautiful getaway you could possibly dream of!

“We can't wait to return!”
Reviewed April 11, 2016 for a stay in April 2016

My wife and our two children (ages 13 & 11) stayed at Villa Caleta with another couple and their three children (same age range) for a truly amazing Spring Break vacation. I point out the ages of the five children because kids at that age often complain about being bored. The word "bored" was never mentioned once during our stay at Villa Caleta. In fact, kids and parents alike were pampered to the point of being spoiled during our stay. Between the house, the grounds, the beach, the food, drink, and all the amenities; everyone was blown away. Yesika and her amazing team did a fantastic job of making sure that nothing was missed. We had read all of the other reviews prior to arriving, so our expectations were already pretty high. Yet, our actual experience still managed to exceed expectations. One aspect of the experience that cannot be overstated is the amazing meals that we were treated to throughout our stay at Villa Caleta. Everything was made fresh and with local ingredients. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all multi-course meals where everyone left the table 100% full to capacity. Even the children commented about how amazing the meals and traditional local recipes were. We thoroughly enjoyed the platters of fresh tropical fruits the started each breakfast and lunch. Fresh pressed/squeezed juices, and specialty cocktails were always refreshing. The delicious dinner soups were absolutely amazing, as were the decadent desserts. However, we all were blown away with the variety, presentation, and flavors of the different entrees; locally caught red snapper, chicken mole', fresh marlin ceviche, vegetable enchiladas, and so much more.

Yesika made sure that arrangements were made for anything that we wanted to do during our stay (taxis, trip to town, massages, manicures/pedicures, snorkeling excursion, fishing, and more). With all of the amenities of the property (pool, beach, snorkeling, boogie boarding, kayaking, relaxing, bon fire/s'mores, hiking, sunsets, exploring, hermit crab races, and more relaxing), there really isn't a need to go anywhere else during your stay. No one in our party had played disc golf before; now we're hooked. If you'd like to play some disc golf, ask for Pat. Pat designed the course and was always up for playing a round. He was very patient with us "newbies" and gave us a lot of helpful advice.

If you are looking for a fantastic vacation at an absolutely amazing location, spend a week at Villa Caleta!
