Roberto's Bungalows
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed March 31, 2014

We recently returned from our month long stay at Roberto's Bungalows. This year was our fourth annual visit. Can't wait to return next year and, hopefully, years to come.
San Francisco (locally known as San Pancho) is a great little seaside town about 45 - 60 min. drive north of Puerto Vallarta. Lots of good restaurants and art galleries. Also don't miss the San Pancho music festival at the end of Feb. each year - it's really good! Roberto's is a small complex of 5 units with a lovely garden/pool common area and it is located about 3 blocks from the beach. The owners, Jane and Earl are lots of fun and can give you valuable tips concerning the town and surrounding area to enhance your vacation. We highly recommend Roberto's. Book early so you won't be disappointed.

You know you have become family when your guests invite you to their home in Canada. This last Sept. we visited our guests (family) at their home in Vernon, BC. What great friends they have become because of Roberto's Bungalows. We are so fortunate to have a business where friendships become lifelong!

Clean, beautifully decorated, comfortable, nice kitchen - all you could want and you get earl and Jane as your hosts who seem to know everyone in town. You don't feel like an outsider at all - Roberto's is a great place in a wonderful little town - There is way more to San Pancho than you might guess. A nice community. I would highly recommend Roberto's Bungalows as a great place to stay.

Room Tip: I think they all are good but we loved Roberto's Bungalow, it a second floor room.

We say "let's go to Roberto's" instead of "let's go to Mexico" because staying at Roberto's Bungalows is always a treat; Super clean, comfortable, great bed, fine art, and funny Early and Sweet Jane. We have been here 4 times and it never fails to be the best vacation. San Pancho is a small safe Mexican, none touristy little town with a fab beach with big waves, lots of little Mexican restaurants. Roberto's Bungalows is just a skip from the beach, restaurants and little shops. Jane and Earl make us feel like friends, always have great stories, suggestions and are quick to act when needed. As said before - a real treat!

Room Tip: Having staid at 3 of the 5 bungalows we think they all have their charm! Upstairs units a bit more p...

Just arrived home from San Pancho. Our 2nd year at Roberto's Bungalows. My wife and I love Bungalow Rojo: clean bathroom, very comfortable bed, a/c, lots of room, well equiped "outdoor" kitchen and eating/lounging area. We had great sleeps. The courtyard is beautifully scaped, lush and peacefull. Bougainvillea cascading over the walls, hibiscus blooming by the pool. Many varieties of tropical birds in the trees above. This was our favourite place to sun. The high wall around the property and oversized front gates made us feel very secure. Roberto's is within a few minutes walk from most of the restaurants and beach. We cooked a lot of our meals, and half a block away is a grocery store where English is spoken (important for us) and with an ATM. We had no hesitations buying food there. Jane and Earl are warm and friendly hosts who made us feel at home within minutes of arriving. We were sorry to leave, but are already booked for next year.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Roberto's Bungalows. We paid our dues to get there, driving 7 hours through heavy snow to the airport, but it was worth it. The rooms are very nice, each one is color-themed (even down to the dishes) and outfitted with the basics (we used the blender to make margaritas right away). The bed is firm but comfortable. Kitchen and dining/lounging area is outside, with comfortable couches although we spent most of our time down by the pool. Location is good, a few blocks from the beach and very easy access to many good restaurants. San Pancho is much more laid back and quiet than Puerto Vallarta, so relaxing was the focus of our stay. WiFi is unstable, so don't count on it. And the roosters at nearby properties have no sense of time, so be prepared to hear them at 2 a.m.!

Room Tip: The property has an east-west orientation, so if you like the morning sun opt for the large second f...

We are so excited when people write reviews for the Bungalows. We do our best to make everyone feel like family. The things we have no control over in our little village in the jungle in this 3rd world country is Wi-Fi, roosters, and the weather. We have wi-fi about 99% of the time. We are sorry it wasn't up to par this vacation.

We returned to Roberto's Bungalows for the second time just last week. It was just as wonderful as last year! However, it was more special because Earl and Jane welcomed us friends. We love the rooms and the gardens and pool. It is just a sort walk to a beautiful white sand beach and the village is the perfect size and activity level for us.
We are already planning our trip for next year and a longer stay.
Can't wait!

Room Tip: All five of the rooms are perfect.

Love these folks. They live in one of my favorite spots on the planet. Pleasure point in Santa Cruz. One other place I would live besides here in paradise! Looking forward to their return!
