Ten months ago my wife and I moved to La Cruz De Huanacaxtle Mexico from Chicago. La Cruz is an old fishing community thirty minutes north of Puerto Vallarta.
One of the first things we did was to check out all the beaches an hours drive from our home. San Pancho or San Francisco was one of those beaches. That was during "high" season. Lots of people everywhere.
Now with most of the snow birds gone and only one restaurant open we had a wonderful meal, lots of Pacifico, and the beach to ourselves. It was wonderful.
We went to San Pancho with some friends who sailed in for the day on Carnival Cruise Line. They were blown away with the whole experience.
If you can stand the heat, "off season" in Banderas Bay is a great value and there are no lines for anything anywhere. Cap'n Paul
