Owner description: Beautiful series of waterfalls just off the Black River, lined with plenty of picnic areas for pleasant afternoon lunches al fresco.

Great area, I only wish we had more time there! You definitely won't have the area all to yourself, but it was not overly crowded during my visit and each pool/falls area was a little different depending on what you are looking for. Every area has a "life guard" or two to make sure no one does anything stupid or gets hurt, they are happy to take pictures of you, and the walk ways are well maintained.

One area you can swing in on a rope, and at one of the higher falls you can dive in from a rock near the falls and there is quite a bit of room to swim. Beautiful area! They also take you back and forth from the parking lot on a tractor pulled cart, which is kind of cool. I just hung out at the falls, but there is also ziplining available and swimming pools. This location has ample bathroom facilities and changing rooms.

part of a day excursion along with Appleton and Black River. The falls are very beautiful. You can jump in and swim.

YS Falls is as different to Dunns River as Chalk is to Cheese! The falls and surrounding areas are stunningly beautiful and you climb up a wooden walkway alongside the falls – you don’t get wet unless you actually go for a swim in the pools that are formed at the base of each fall.

The level of commercialisation is subtle and is designed to blend in with the environment. There is a coffee area where you can relax and watch the humming birds come to the feeders – if you’ve never seen a humming bird it’s worth the entry fee for this alone!

The star of the show for me though was the 5 line 400 meter Zip Line. Firstly it is very, very well constructed from an environmental point of view so it’s not ‘in-your-face’ and it won’t spoil your view of the falls. For those who wish to have a bit of fun though the zip slide is great, you are introduced to it gently via 3 short zip lines so by the time it comes to the main line slide over the falls you are quite relaxed and ready to enjoy the main event which was absolutely brilliant. The attention to detail by the staff that accompanies you is first class as is the attention to safety, which is exemplary.

Fabulous Fun in a Beautiful Environment!!

Excellent attraction and a great place to take in the natural beauty of Jamaica. Peacefully not mobbed with tourists and lovely swimming in the waterfall pools!

Pleasant stop on our all day tour to Black River etc.. Interesting pool with pea gravel for swimming. Falls were very pretty, but don't expect them to be as large as Dunn's River Falls. Some had fun on the rope swing.
