“A decent hotel”
Reviewed January 10, 2011

We stayed here Xmas eve for one night. Check in easy as with other inns. Room freeeeeeezing on entry with one small radiator. Gauge showed 11 degrees C. Took 5 hours to get to 20 but was fine after that. Comfy and clean room. No flat screen tv and no fan in bathroom but functional and clean. Food next door was nice. £45 for 2.5 meals. Lovely breakfast.
Noisy neighbours but what can you do and I suppose it was Christmas.
Overall a nice hotel but slightly behind other premier inns I've stayed in.

As Premier Inns go, this is quite a good one. Easy to get to, friendly staff and a warm and welcoming attached pub/restaurant. The location isn't really close to anywhere, but if you're only on a short stay, the attached pub does just fine. My only complaint is that my room had a strange smell of wet dishcloths and my colleagues room was even worse. The smell seemed to come from the bathrooms. As I wasn't paying for the accommodation myself I didn't complain but I would have done if I was. Apart from the smell its not bad, and the pub next door is excellent.

this is a newly redone hotel which I really liked, we stayed here 4 nights. Everything was really good about this hotel, except for the service. There is one nice lady there but the majority of the staff were just not very friendly or very helpful. This also transferred over to our water pot being broken in the room and they really didn't care to help switch it out. One day our room wasn't even really cleaned, they just pulled the duvet up. So, my review for this hotel is that the service is not very good at all but its brand new, the rooms extremely clean , bed comfie, most things are new in the rooms. Our family room was VERY small tho. I loved that we were right next to Sainsbury's and an outlet mall.

A bit hard to find off the motorway junction but once you get there it is a nice, clean and compact motel that - as with most Premier Travel Inns I've been to - impresses by getting the basics right. Room neat and tidy? Yes. In-room facilities got all you need for a quick stay? Yes. Restaurant (whcih is next door) plesant and with good food? yes. Did you get a good night's sleep? yes.

I have no complaints about this hotel and if I were passing by that way again and needed an overnight stay to break a motorway journey, I'd consider it again.
