Tranquil setting, with lots to see and admire - best when sun is shining, but still lovely in the rain.

I can't recommend this privately owned garden enough - and would recommend an early visit as the Hall is currently up for sale and once sold, it will probably no longer be open to the public. The garden has many different aspects, has some beautiful planting and colour combinations and has something for everyone. There are truly lovely formal areas, as well as circular walk around the lake. From the folly you can see a summerhouse on stilts over where two rivers meet and that is a lovely spot to sit with your binoculars and see what comes by. The garden never seems to get too busy and is a wonderful oasis. In September each year they also host the Welsh Food Festival which is really popular - one of the best food festivals in the calendar and definitely one of the prettiest locations. The date for this will be on-line. Last but not least is a mention for the tearoom - all home made and a generous slice of something sweet after a walk makes for a perfect afternoon out. Check out their opening times as they are not open on a Sunday!

Beautiful gardens and cafe/tea room in the courtyard. Lovely fresh food and delicious cakes. One of the very few dog friendly places in the area. You can walk around the grounds and lake with your dog(s) on leads, and then sit with them by your feet in the courtyard enjoying your food!

It was good garden a bit wild but maybe that was the attraction. Lake was magical.Needed some work done to get everything looking its best, quite a few weeds could be seen, but it is that time of year for all gardeners. Nice caffe ,had a cup of tea on the patio.
