lovely location..however there was not a warm welcome, waited ages for someone to turn up , evenin meal offered..no..old fashioned decoration, left a small bottle of lemonade on my bedside locker and it slid off(tg cap was on)room over crowded with tat so hardly any room to put any thing of ours,, was not a good experience at all for us, no need for me to go on...

Room Tip: very hard to comment as i was led by their advertising on the internet which wasnt very accurate

Having stayed with Ron & Dilwen may time over the years, sometimes three times a year, I went back recently and found it to be just as good as it has ever been. A marvellous loaction set back from the main road, ideal for those with a young family. close to hills mountains and the magnicant beachs around Aberdovey.

I have recently stayed at Gogarth Hall Farm, a traditional working farm on the on the outskirts of Aberdovey .
The farm is situated off the A493 and commands magnificent panoramic views of the Dovey estuary.
There are 4, uniquely different, self catering units all furbished to a very high standard to choose from.
The Coach House, faces south overlooking the estuary.
The Cottage, is a recent barn conversion and has been designed to accommodate a disabled person.
Cwm Ffernol, is a charming farmhouse in the hills.
The Farmhouse Cottage, is an annex off the main hall. (Well behaved dogs are only allowed in the Farmhouse Cottage).
There is also a two bedroom static caravan situated in its' own grounds.
Alternatively you can stay bed and breakfast in either a spacious ensuite family bedroom or the smaller ensuite double bedroom.
(Evening meals are optional).
You are guaranteed a warm welcome by the hosts, Deilwen, Ron and family.

This is a wonderful area to explore - where the mountains meet the sea on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park.
There are some glorious sandy beaches nearby and stunning views over the estuary and Cardigan bay from the hills.
The nearby town of Machynlleth is well worth a visit on a Wednesday (market day).
Aberdovey , 3 or 4 miles down the road, is a lovely little unspoilt seaside town.
I have stayed in this area several times over the past two years and am still discovering new places.
I can thoroughly recommend a visit to both the area and this accommodation.
