“A good hotel restaraunt”

We have eaten here on several occasions and have always had good service, good food and a warm welcome. There is a pizzeria at the back hotel which is excellent as well if you like Italian food

Awfully drab place and way too expensive... Poor choice of decor and some of the staff are extremely rude and unhelpful

“Stunning locally-sourced meat.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 10, 2011

I ate here a couple of times during my stay at the Wynnstay. The food is stunning - the meat is locally-sourced, beautifully-cooked and well-presented. Prices are not cheap - £5-6 for a starter, £15-16 for a main course - but worth every penny if it's within your budget. I had some heart-poundingly rare venison the first night, and some excellent lamb the second time round. The staff were very accommodating too, fitting in an extra latecomer even after the official last-orders time. Real ales from the bar are well-chosen, well-stored and correctly-poured, and service was excellent. Highly recommended.
