We stayed here with a group of friends and everything was perfect- even the weather!
Breakfast was at the time of our choosing and cooked to order and the dinner we had in the castle on the Saturday night was wonderful.

All of our group plan to go back as soon as we can find a free weekend (this place gets booked up, especially at weekends, so book as far in advance as possible if you have a particular date) and one couple in our group have already booked the whole castle for a family celebration weekend. It says it all!
Maureen and Peter are wonderful hosts.

Room Tip: Osprey is wonderful (especially the huge bathroom and incredibly comfortable four-poster bed) but al...

8 couples stayed here for a 60th birthday celebration. Had afternoon tea when we arrived - amazing. Then a wonderful 4 course evening meal with wine. No cooking or washing up or driving home - what more could you ask for. Stayed up until 1.30 am playing Articulate Game in one of the lounges we could use. The owners went to bed and left us to it. The younger ones stayed up until 4am! Up for late breakfast at 10 am followed by a climb up to the turret with the owner to take in the amazing views of the estuary. If the weather was nice it would be fantastic to sit outside. Our bedrooms were all individual and gorgeous with king sized beds. Everyone should find an occasion to rent this place. It is the most unforgettable experience.

This hotel is stunning. No other way to describe it, myself and my wife stayed for our wedding anniversary Maureen, Peter & Sid all great hosts, thoroughly professional & friendly

We checked in around 3pm and were greeted by. Maureen & Sid where we were shown to our room, stunning it was too with a massive bathroom and a whirlpool bath

We then returned downstairs and sat in the library where my wife had a freshly brewed coffee and homemade scones and I relaxed with a cold bottle of beer in front of a roaring wood burner which was idyllic considering it was chucking it down outside!

Dinner was served in a separate room we had been given a menu of the evenings choice when we arrived, there was plenty of choice, Meat , Fish , vegetarian on the starters and main.

Brilliantly cooked and served by 2 pleasant members of staff from the local area.

Next morning after a beautiful breakfast we walked around the hotel grounds to take in some of the views.

I will be booking a return visit in the summer next year to take my wife back as we both enjoyed our stay so much

This castle, built in the 19th century to a grand Gothic style, is certainly one of the most remarkable, comfortable and well-appointed small hotels you could ever experience. Without being over-the-top, the reception rooms are luxuriously appointed, with stuffed birds, quirky ornaments and curios adorning the walls and sideboards. You definitely expect Hercule Poirot to walk in and say "One of you in zis room is a murderer..."

The style is art-Deco and each bedroom has been individually decorated to a distinctive high standard. Our bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The views over the nearby river are beautiful - ask nicely and the owners will allow you to go up the tower and view the scenery from that vantage point. Food was to a very high standard. The gardens are beautiful and encourage a stroll around.

It would be hard to fault the place to be honest. If I were a contestant on 'Three In a Bed' and determined to win against Glandyfi Castle I might point out a couple of minor observations: bread-rolls not home-made, bit of dust on a dresser, no shoe cleaning materials: nothing too serious. There is no pool or health spa you might get in a large hotel. But the hotel has an individual style and ambience that marks it out from the average.

Overall the standard is very high in all regards and you will not be disappointed. A very happy time and good fun had by all!

We have just returned from a wonderful Wedding at Glandyfi Castle. Some friends of ours Brian & Jane got married at this fantastic location. The Hostess and Hosts Maureen, Peter and Sid did an amazing job and spoiled us all.
The food throughout the weekend was really, really special, and all the bedrooms are stunning.
We would like to thank Brian and Jane for getting married, and Maureen, Peter, Sid and staff for looking after us so amazingly well.
We will definitely return

We stayed at Glandyfi castle for two nights and had fantastic time. Upon arrival we had a very warm welcome, with tea served in the Library. We styled in the Osprey suite which was spacious and elegant with the most amazing bathroom! We dined in both evenings - Maureen is a fantastic cook. Throughout our stay Maureen and Peter did everything they could to make us as comfortable as possible. We came away relaxed and refreshed and are already planning another visit.

Room Tip: Stay during the week while the castle is quieter, then you get the place to yourselves ...... Almost...
