Mid Wales Tipis
Reviewed June 16, 2013

Just got back from a lovely weekend at Mid Wales Tipis and had a fantastic time. The tipi is set in a beautiful location surrounded by fields and lovely scenery. It is fully kitted out with everything that you will need for your time away. Pete and Mary have truly thought of everything to make your experience perfect. Pete met us when we arrived and was so helpful, informative and catered for all of our needs, even making sure that we were topped up with firewood and all the essentials throughout our stay. Even though the site is set away from the 'real' world, it is easy to access local amenities by car. The site also has a small pond and a rowing boat to use which is great fun. I would truly recommend staying here either in the Tipi or the Yurt (which although isn't fully furnished yet still looks great). A great time can be had by all age groups!! Will definitely be returning in the future!

This was a wonderful experience. Location is picture book perfect and the only sounds you will hear is that of nature and the harmony it brings. Located near to the coast (short car journey) recommend south of estuary with the dunes. Or scenic walks beginning outside of the Tipi. The tipi has most of what you will require to make your stay comfortable and memorable. The only thing you can't guarantee is the warm weather! We experienced a mixed bag of rain and sunshine. ( May 27-29, 2013). However, regardless of the conditions do get a roaring fire going in the outside hearth, cook some food, and drink wine late into the night. Timeless! Pete and Mary are congenial hosts - friendly, informative and a joy to meet! Mid Wales Tipis are definitely recommended.

Was met by the friendly Pete, who was really informative. We enjoyed waking up to the sounds of the birds and being able to enjoy the surrounding area. The tipi was fantastic with everything you needed included, it was really cozy and comfortable. An excellent time had by all.

Just got back from a wonderful weekend at the tipi. Peaceful, relaxing most perfect weekend. Everything you need is catered for, we only live a small distance away but it felt like we were a million miles away. Would defiantly recommend and will defiantly be back to visit.

me and my hubby have just got back from a 3 days break at mid wales tipis. we are both in our 40's and have camped before. this was something else!. the web site states 'luxury' tipis and they definatly are.
everything is supplied free, firewood, drinking walter, candles, bedding, coolbox, even towels.
Pete and Mary are lovely friendly people, there if you need absolutly anything, but also keep a very polite distance. we were even given a complimentry bottle of wine.
the double bed is very comfy, and the cooking facilities are brilliant, again with all utensils supplied.
Pete has built an amazing 'ensuite' bathroom and washing up area outside of the tipi, and this again is a great experience...showering with nature!.
the land is beautiful and there is also a pond that has rowing boats on, free to use.
this was a fantatastic break for us, the tipi is very spacious, but not sure if it would be too crowded for more than 2 people.
there is a chimnea inside the tipi, so we never felt the cold at all, but not sure about the safety aspect of an actual fire inside,if you have young children.
bring all the food you need for your break, because you wont want to leave this magical place to fetch more supplies.
we will definatly return in the summer.
