“Fabulous pre Birthday trip!”

A great one night stay. The staff, as always, really friendly. Jessica is just the most jolly of people! The room was. Lovely. Best of all was the food. One of the steaks wasn't great(meat not how it was cooked) But the chocolate pudding was probably the nicest pudding I have ever had. We had another brilliant stay at the Brigands.

My husband and I stayed at the Brigands for three nights last weekend and we really enjoyed our stay. The service was excellent the staff just couldn't do enough for us and we had a wonderful meal on the Friday night. We stayed in room 8 and it was lovely. I would definitely recommend the Brigands it was home from home. Thank you Catrin and all the staff for making our stay so comfortable. We will be back. Diolch.

My wife and I went to the brigands in just on spec because we had had a rather bad experience at the hotel few years previous whilst eating there, wow what a difference this time. From the moment we were served a drink at the bar to the moment we left we were served by staff that cared and showed it in everything they did. We felt relaxed and we were served really good quality and well prepared food. We will be returning because will simply got the impression they care and this is a rare quality nowadays and should be rewarded with return custom.

will have already decided to try and book up for my wife's 50th Birthday.

just a lovely evening thanks !

Stopped by for lunch while driving across mid-Wales. Checked beforehand that they accepted dogs in the bar which they do. A very handsome building with fine views of the surrounding countryside. Very well kept beer on hand pump and a really interesting and varied menu. The food was well-cooked and well-presented and in generous portions. The staff members were welcoming and charming and did seem genuinely happy to see the dog - not always the case! Dogs are not permitted - quite rightly - in the restaurant part so dog-haters need not fear! By the way, the "facilities" eerie absolutely spotless. Would love to go back and stay some time.

We ate here last week as a group of 11, we are stayin in the area, after 2 of our group stopped for food here on Tuesday and had a delicious meal.

We ordered in advance and had a separate dining area which was very cosy.

The meal began with an amuse bouche of broccoli soup with home baked bread, a delicious start as the soup was packed with flavour and the bread perfect.

All of the starters were fabulous, highlights were the crispy boiled egg, the seared scallops with pork belly and the seared pigeon breast.

The main courses all maintained the excellent standard...pork belly, hake, rack of lamb but the star of the show were the braised ox cheeks.

The cheese board for dessert was a veritable feast, plenty for 2 or 3 people.

This is a fantastic restaurant with the level of cooking skill and menu that you would normally only expect to see in a city.

A real find.

We called in here on our way back to south Wales from Anglesey. The pub looked welcoming from the outside and parking was easy. Quite crowded at the bar, but we found a table easily and placed our order. Despite the crowd, it was not long in coming and was very tasty. I had cod in batter with chips, mushy peas and tartare sauce. Imaginatively presented and the batter was light and not greasy. Hubby had the burger which again was very nicely presented and he enjoyed it. Son had the club sandwich which looked very appetising and he said it was good. Staff efficient and polite. Would definitely recommend for lunch. All areas we accessed were well decorated and maintained and it was a lovely place to stop and recharge our batteries.

My boyfriend and I visited Brigands Inn on our holiday after a recommendation from our host and we were not disappointed! Service was friendly and speedy and the food was absolutely delicious. The amuse bouche of mushroom soup with truffle oil was a lovely touch. I had the nut roast with superb hand made gnocci and my boyfriend had the lamb roast and raved about it and the lamb has. I also absolutely loved my lemon posset for dessert. I would definitely recommend!
