“Whistle while you work!”
Reviewed August 25, 2012

This is an entertaining demonstration of sheepdog handling presented in an amusing yet supremely skilfull way right from the start when a quodbike appears driven by a Border Collie.

We entirely agree with the other recent reviews. We took our grandchildren three years ago and they have asked to go back each year since!

The coast walk and the homemade cake are a must, as well.

You cna also buy the sheepdog whistles that the shephers use. It takes a while to get the hang of, but his year we had four children with us and by the evening we had a sheepdog whistle ensemble on our hands. Family Von Trapp look out!

“Great fun for any dog lover”
Reviewed June 5, 2012

A lovely place set in a rural location. All the trainers are really friendly and easy to talk to. The dogs obviously love what they do and it is a great insight into what an important role the dogs play on a working farm. Great demos which show every stage of the dog's learning. Well placed undercover shelter if the weather is bad like on our visit, but the show went on. Well worth the £5 entry.

“An amazing and entertaining demonstration!”
Reviewed June 5, 2012

The dogs have blinding speed and are extremely focused on their work. The handler is not only superbly competent, but has a real sense of humor! Many people brought their own dogs to 'watch;' the handler requested that if any visiting dog became noisy, please remove it, and owners did respect that request. I was especially impressed when single dog brought about sixty thundering sheep running past us, around the paddock, and back out to the back field--we could feel the earth shake! Also, the cakes served in the 'tea' pavilion are homemade and delicious.

“Lots of fun!”
Reviewed December 6, 2011

We have visited on several occasions. Our dog loves it too! The owners show you how they train young border collie pups to work the sheep, show how the dogs can work with ducks, goats and sheep, and have a lovely finale. I recommend the coastal walk and the homemade cake!

“Fabulous fun for all the family. A must sse and do!”
Reviewed June 29, 2011

One of those great little finds in life. Every Tuesday afternoon there is a demonstration on this working sheepdog training farm. They have dogs of all ages and abilities so take you through the process of training in a most informative and interesting way with a few surprises along the way.
Lovely little tea stall selling homemade cakes.
Great fun and will appeal to all ages.
