“Dog friendly”
Reviewed July 31, 2014

Great little pub that sells proper beer that has been well looked after. The food was all fresh, mostly local and the portions were generous, we went back twice and had an excellent meal on both occasions and it's dog friendly, which we really appreciate. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. We will definitely return.

“Perfect uncooked greasy food ”
Reviewed July 24, 2014 via mobile

If your looking for a good meal then do not go here.
Chips - ha ha - what a joke, you will get reheated stale chips cooked in smelly "should have been changed weeks ago oil". I ordered a medium cooked steak, I received a raw piece of soggy meat. The pub, the staff, the whole place is beyond help. Its reassuring to know this place will not survive, the sooner it closes the better for all who live in and around Pembroke.
I will do my best to inform everyone I know that eating here is a risk to health. The first job in the morning is to contact the council and get the food standards agency involved hopefully before someone ends up in hospital.

“Failed to Get a Beer”
Reviewed July 20, 2014

We (4 of us) popped in to the Royal George, as it served beers that we like, but unfortunately failed to get one, as the only barman in attendance poured one then decided to answer a phone call. If the call was really important then he could have said, " excuse me".
I have never witnessed such poor, unprofessional service and probably never will.
