This place really does not live up to it's website.
We were in Pembroke at the weekend and decided to visit here for an eve meal.
It may have been that i had a picture in my mind of a really nice country pub with olde worlde features etc, how wrong could i be it was like walking into a transport cafe with a bar.
The bar area was very tired and then we were asked to sit at our table which was plastic, the chairs were dirty and stained and if the lighting in there was much brighter you could have seen it from the moon. On a warm summers day sat in the garden with a sea view i am sure it would be better but not the inside.
My wife had the Chilli which she said was good, my chicken breast however was not that fresh and was very stringy however the sauce was good.
not going back.

Dropped in following a coastal path walk. Made very welcome, decent menu. Selected a couple of light options ( baguettes, steak and onions ) washed down with a house red. Excellent. Just what the Doctor ordered.Q

Unfriendly staff made us feel very uncomfortable and not welcome.

Went there for Sunday lunch, place was full of dogs - I like dogs but not running around while I am eating lunch. No choices as to the menu - beef or beef.

We left without eating and went to Lamphey Hall which is a much much better option.

Such a shame really because this place has the potential to be one of the most amazing venues in the country...

Visited in August 2012. My 15 year old son thought his cheeseburger was the best he'd ever had!
We had to return the following day for another one for him.
Having said that, the food available is a mix of snack type plus a smallish range of evening meals. Bear in mind that the location of this pub is coastal where people expend their energies by swimming, sailing, canoeing, walking, then this type of menu is well suited to the area.
Staff were very welcoming and service impeccable. Surprised that dogs were allowed into the dining areas - not everyone's pleasure.
This is a village pub which also caters for holidaymakers, and as such is very good at what it does.
If you are looking for fine cuisine, this is not the place for you!

We had high expectations of this pub - its location is stunning - overlooking the bay. On arrival we were met by very pleasant staff and they serve a range of local brews. The decor is not bad, although looking a little tired in places. We had a window seat with sea view and the staff were all very friendly especially to our two young boy. The food however, was very poor, we ordered off the lunch menu, which wasn't very exhaustive. The steak baguette I ordered contained some steak a few onions and that was it - no garnish of any sort and just as expensive as one we had the previous day with a massive side salad and chips. Lots of locals who were very friendly and eager to chat, good brews and friendly staff - don't go for the food!
