My husband and I came here for a meal on a Saturday night. It wasn't too busy, the lighting is quite dimmed but perfect, and the service was lovely. The choice of starter was a bit limiting, but there was 2 menu's so you seemed to be able to choose from fine dining or classic!
We had an extra course in the form of a shot of soup, compliments of the chef, which was beautiful. My pate was average, whilst my husbands meat platter was nice but perhaps a bit pretentious. For mains we had steak and duck - both cooked perfectly and we really enjoyed. For dessert we had affogato, which was lovely.
The service and atmosphere were really good, apparently our food took quite some time, however I was unaware of this as I didn't notice anyone else whilst we were in there. As a result, the waitress didn't charge us for our dessert or coffees, which I found a very nice gesture considering the lack of complaint!
I would come back here, but probably only on anniversaries or birthdays. The food was lovely & the atmosphere perfect.
