“Lovely and welcoming”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 2, 2013

We stayed just one night, during a 5 day car tour of Wales. The room was lovely and spotlessly clean. Lots of charming farm views. We got in late and hadn't prebooked a dinner, but we were cheerfully ( and deliciously ) accommodated by the personable lady of the house. Even her young boys help out. It is truly a family affair. Breakfast was tasty and filling. I would highly recommend. I wish we could have stayed longer.

The standard of accomodation is excellent, so clean and well maintained. Location is perfect if you want to get away from it all, no road noise, no light pollution, you might just hear the odd cow mooing or owl hooting but it really is very quiet.

Joss is an excellent host from the moment she welcomes you with a cuppa and homemade cake, throughout each and every breakfast when she produces the most amazing tasty and fresh food until she finally waves you goodbye. (scrambled egg and salmon/homemade porridge simply delicous!)

Nothing is too much trouble, Joss will give advice on places to eat or visit and where to buy the wonderfully comfortable pillows most guests inevitably enquire about after their first night in the comfortable beds!

We stayed for a week in September along with my parents and were so well looked after, it's a credit to Joss that she makes you feel so very relaxed and welcomed into her lovely home.

To be honest if you're not happy staying here I very much doubt if you would be happy anywhere!

Room Tip: All rooms were excellent high standard, the one at the front is the biggest but we stayed in Dexter...

Spent a very enjoyable 4 days in this delightful B&B on a working dairy farm. comfortable spacious bedrooms with all the luxuries you would expect in an upmarket hotel. Nice too to have a dedicated lounge for guests. Delicious breakfasts and one lovely evening meal too. Jos is friendly and can't do enough to make your stay enjoyable. We will return!

Room Tip: Room at front is larger with bath and overhead shower. Rooms at back are smaller, one has walk in sh...

Stayed here for one night while attending Fishguard Music Festival, and must agree with all the other favourable reviews. The whole place oozes quality and clearly Joss the owner takes great pride in ensuring her guests' comfort. The breakfast was sublime, all freshly cooked best quality food. Highly recommended; we'll be back.

....as all the other reviews say! Husband and I have just spent with 3 nights (20-22 June) at The Paddock. We went with friends and had all 3 rooms. Joss is lovely, very friendly and welcoming. We arrived to be presented with lovely home made cake and tea. No wonder the cake was so lovely, Joss is a Cordon Bleu cook! All rooms are beautiful, spacious, tastefully decorated, spotless quality linen and beds so comfy, you don't want to get up! Every aspect of food, hostess and accommodation is faultless. We ate out 2 nights and then 'dined in' on one of Joss's evening meals. We opted for 2 course and it was fabulous. Excellent quality and value at £23 pp. Coming from me, that is quite something, as I am not only a vegetarian, but a very fussy one when it comes to food quality. Joss exceeded our expectations all round. Joss doesn't have a licence to sell alcohol, but is very happy for you to take your own, which we did! Breakfasts were amazing. Joss gave us places to eat out and we were delighted with both, especially The Shed at Solva. Watching the Arthur, one of the dogs, with the chickens was a great source of amusment and fun.So we will certainly go again and recommend to everyone. So, well done Joss.....you've thought of everything in the design/planning and running of your beautiful home!! See you again.

Room Tip: They are all beautiful and quiet...you can't go wrong.

May 2013

A brief return visit after two years, everything was as perfect as it was in my first review, Joss, again made us very welcome to her lovely quiet five star accredited B&B.

All rooms are located on the ground floor we chose the same as previously “The Dexter’ a good size room with a super cosy King size bed, the room came well equipped with your own fridge for cooling those bottles of wine or beer, Wi-Fi, good size flat screen TV & separate DVD player. A lovely shower room with good sized walk in rain shower completes the quality feel.

After a lovely meal in a local pub it is was so nice to return & retire to the drawing room to read, thankfully it has no TV to disturb the ambiance.

Breakfast was comprehensive & freshly served with either the healthy or not so healthy options available, quite delicious...........

We rarely return to places previously visited, The Paddock is very much the exception, we are delighted we did.

Room Tip: CLean, Cosy & Quiet a lovely ruralr retreat on a working farm, quite lovely....
