“Home made food and croeso cynnes”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 9, 2013 via mobile

Located on the main road (College Street) Lampeter town centre with spaces to park opposite the restaurant for limited time. Also known in Welsh as Hedyn Mwstard. Ideal if shopping in Lampeter, visiting the university or just passing through.
I really liked the menus on the table available in both Welsh and English.
A very busy place, to show how popular the place is. There is always a warm and personal welcome by Gareth and Liz Jones. Very efficient and courteous staff as well.
Ideal place for mid morning coffee, lunch or afternoon tea. They also have a back room for small functions. Daily papers available and toys for the kids.
Excellent food. Everything home made. Blasus iawn. Value for money as well. Diolch yn fawr. We shall call again very soon.

Excellent cheap latte for sale, lovely looking cakes, even though we didn't get chance to try any. Friendly staff.

“cakes to die for”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 24, 2013

We have often visited this little caffe and have never been disappointed. Everything is fresh and tasty and reasonably priced. Can't understand reviews who way otherwise. Staff are kind, friendly and polite. The cakes are properly home made. Plenty of variety, huge portions. Wish I could make cakes like these. If we go anywhere near Lampeter we make sure we stop here. So should you.

“What a lovely place...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 6, 2013

This is the third time I've visited; never been disappointed. This time, we turned up maybe five minutes before they were due to close. Unlike so many places, we weren't turned away, we were served with tea and cake, cheerfully and efficiently - and the prices are excellent.
But - the cake - an absolute winner. Called raspberry torte - not what we would have called it, but a moist, flavourful raspberry cake, served with yogurt and raspberry coulis - it absolutely blew our minds! We got really lucky, the lady who made it turned up as we were leaving and so generously, gave us the recipe.
And cake aside - this is clean and comfortable and excellent value. It's Christian-based, and we aren't, but it's so nice we shall be calling in whenever we pass through Lampeter. A gem.
