We were on a short holiday in Wales and decided to take advantage of the hotel's Sunday night offer where the room rate was reduced if you spent £75 in their restaurant. The hotel is easy to find and the estate it is on is lovely. We had a warm welcome from the hotel and it was all very efficient. The room was pleasant, not intimidatingly ostentatious, and very comfortable - the only slight downside is that to get our cases to the second floor, we had to use the cramped old and slow lift. If you are claustrophobic, then this may not be for you! The bar was efficiently run, a good choice of well-priced drinks and a nice atmosphere. The food was very good, well worth the £40 set price for 3 courses. Breakfast was nice, in a pretty morning room, with plenty of choice. We will go back if given a chance.
