A gorgeously appointed apartment that has all the practical amenities one could need and style to spare. We adored our stay at Glandenys and found the facilities, location and hosts to be absolutely wonderful. The views are serene and the array of friendly animals a delight. We were particularly taken with the Whippet! We also loved the thoughtful touches in the apartment, such as fresh flowers, wine and snacks, not to mention the added little luxuries in the bathroom.
If you want a relaxing break in a beautiful old manor, surrounded by verdant farmland and yet within easy reach of the sea and bustling little harbour towns such as Aberaeron, then look no further.
We were very lucky to stay here for valentines weekend. We are both Estate agents so can be quite fussy. We were amazed by the quality of the apartment! Complete with spa bath, candles and prosecco.
Helen and Rod booked us a table at the stunning Harbour master and were really helpful putting together a list of local attractions. We will be returning with our children and our horse in the summer. Stabling and paddocks are on site. I can't wait to explore the beautiful Welsh country side on horseback. Devils bridge is a must see, also Abereron with its beautiful array of multicoloured cottages
Despite the fact I've lived in Hong Kong for the last ten years, I return every year to this part of Wales, which is a bustling university town, laced with charm and surrounded by idyllic scenery.
Plas Glandenys is a well known focal point in the area. A great mansion, oozing with stories from its owners past and present.
The hosts, Helen and her husband Rhod - whose late father Julian Cayo-Evans was a legend in the area for his political prominence in the 60's - are as entertaining as they are lovely.
A stay in Plas Glandenys is a real treat for anyone wanting to escape it all, in style, in the country.
The accommodation is first-rate, and with excellent local cafes serving traditional Welsh fare and the most excellent Indian restaurant in Wales in the town centre. As well as walks, pretty drives and the coast a short drive up the road, - if you want a charming holiday in Wales, this is the destination.
A beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable apartment in an amazing location. A great place to spend a relaxing weekend away, only 25 mins from the coast with Devil's Bridge and various castles to explore in the area. The owners are friendly and the breakfast was delicious! Will be visiting again in the near future.
