If you want a villige that is even quiet in the summer months this is the place to go. Along the sea front is still only 2 small arcades and 1 small burger bar that is closed from the middle of oct until easter.
The sea front is very clean as long as the visitors keep using the bins provided. Its a very dog friendly area with dogs allowed on the beach from Oct through to April in all areas then through the summer just a little futher down the beach the rest of the time (1mins walk).
There are a couple of coffee shops and only a handfull of B&B's.
No loud music or loud people!

Pulls in the holiday makers during the summer season and great for families and dog owners. Can't take dogs on the beach directly in front of the prom, but not far from where you can.
must be the Best sunset in the U.K. If looking for holiday location worth trying.

Whether a stroll along the Prom, with an ice cream in the sun, a black coffee from the Buccaneer Burger Bar, or the delicious chips and onions! or, a quiet time kicking along the sandy beach at low tide, paddling with my trousers rolled (being of a T.S Eliot certain age, I can only watch the more energetic in and on the water!). I heard and saw tirricks (Arctic Terns), and a pair of dolphins on a late August afternoon, which made my year for me!
The only thing that would improve this hidden gem of a beach, is some cafe and or restaurant with a sea-view that would stay open later in the evening, and into the winter season too!

After many years of intermitantly visiting Towyn and Aberdovey, we were pleasantly surprised to see how clean the town and other areas are and how fresh the building look. A few years ago it looked like you had lost the fight and things looked very tired but well done Towyn is born again.
Very welcoming for children and adults alike with the Talyllyn Railway a must.
The beach is a good sand lined, long stretch ...just what the doctor ordered.
The only disapointment is the central area blot on the promenade which used to be small shops but now looks like a 'no go' area. Should be pulled down and some smart apartments built in their place. The local authority owe it to the local people and visitors. It can only add value to the town.

Excellent. A lovely clean and very long unspoilt beach, great fun all day for the family and watching the sun go down.
The Southern part of the beach is beautiful golden sand with a mix of sand and shingle in front of the town and towards the North. The beach seems well maintained with a separate area for dog walkers.

The free car park is perfectly situated running right along the sea front. The toilets were clean and there is a good sized paddling pool and children’s play area for when the tides in or the weather's a little colder.

There is vehicle access to sea so jet-ski and other craft can easily access the water.
There are a couple of fairly priced shops running along the front but set back from the beach, including an arcade, a couple of chip shops, tea shop, burger outlets.
