I had an amazing experience at Sunsetbay Veganuary retreat. We explored the incredible Welsh countryside, ate amazing food and learned so much about nutrition and how our body works. I left feeling grounded and energised I'd definitely recommend it!
I loved every part of my retreat at Sunset Bay! I went to their first ever Veganuary retreat and it was so relaxing, refreshing and nourishing. I feel like I spent a week there although it was only three days! Maggie, Graham and Smudge are so lovely and friendly, they make you feel right at home! The food cooked by Kelly Mason was unbelievable - flavourful, comforting, vibrant, sophisticated. She also taught us so much about vegan nutrition. The activities were all so great and different: yoga sessions, mindfulness, scenic walks along the beach and in the hills, sound bath, tales and songs… I would highly recommend and will happily come back, could not have wished for a better experience for my first trip to Wales :)
At a crossroads in my life I decided I needed some ‘me’ time and to get away for a while. I couldn’t have chosen a better place to come. I wanted Yoga and relaxation but also some fun activities, some very familiar and some new.
Maggie and her team are absolutely fabulous and the 5 days were perfectly put together and delivered to the highest standard. Accommodation and the food were also exceptional.
They made me feel so welcome and the other guests and all the staff were an absolute joy to meet and spend time with. I will definitely book again and would not hesitate to recommend Sunset Bay Well-being Retreats ♥️.
I enjoyed exploring a new part of the world, lots of swimming opportunities and really good quality yoga and therapies.
The most amazing 5 days ever!! Fantastic Chapel, fantastic hosts, Maggie and Graham and the rest of their team! The most delicious and wholesome vegan food I’ve ever tasted. Hot tub and fire pit in the garden and lots of activities including yoga, stretching, walking, meditation, wild swimming, SUP, gong bath, bike ride and more!! I went on my own and I’m so glad I did! It’s something everyone should experience and I’m definitely going back next year!! If I could give a 6 star review I would! Highly recommended
Wow what a week!
I turned up a stressed out lump of concrete, apprehensive about my first ever retreat experience, knowing little about yoga and meditation and concerned I wouldn’t fit in.
Nevertheless, I loved every second of my stay as soon as I stepped through the door. Every person of the team was welcoming and accommodating.
Every section of the day was planned but you were able to join in with as much or as little as you wanted with no pressure. There were lots of extra things to do if you wanted an alternative (eg hot tub/ read a book by an open fire), but the activities were varied and challenging to the right level for you because they were always adjusting the level of difficulty of walks/bike rides/yoga according to ability and requests.
Maggie kept an eye on timings and plans so that you could just relax without having to think about a thing. I stopped bothering having my phone and watch with me and just went with the flow!
I have been so impressed at the significant difference this trip made to my mental health and well-being. I am so grateful and will definitely feel comfortable booking this retreat alone next time I’m in need of a cocoon!
