Stayed one night after an 85 mile cycle ride found Phil and Lynn excellent hosts, they were very welcoming and helpful.
The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable and the breakfast the following morning was very good.
I would have no hesitation recommending it and hope to return and do more cycling and walking in the area.

Who am I to disagree with the other reviewers about Leahurst? From the moment you arrive and park in the undercover area until you reluctantly leave the next day, you know you are in a special bed and breakfast.
A lovely house, very sympathetically designed as a bed and breakfast with a very imposing entrance hall complete with a baby grand piano - if you can play, go ahead.
The owner Phil, immediately produced a pot of tea (3 tea bags - wow) served in Portmeirion crockery - an indication of the quality to come - and some home made bara brith (fruit loaf for any non Welsh readers).
My room was huge and beautifully decorated and had everything as promised on the website.
Chatting to Phil, he said that when setting up the b and b, he and Lynn wanted it to be somewhere they would want to stay themselves - what a great philosophy. For example, scissors on the hospitality tray (wedding guests/new shirts/labels to cut off) and scissors to cut ketchup sachets at breakfast. I picked up a novel in the conservatory and Lynn told me that if I got into it, I was welcome to take it away when I left. This attention to detail separates the very good from the truly excellent.
Breakfast, of course, was fantastic, and rounded off a memorable stay in this absolute gem of a bed and breakfast.
Thank you Phil and Lynn - you should feel justly proud for offering such outstanding service to "the weary travellers"!

Stayed there one night in early June. Excellent room, well-equipped and comfortable. TV had very helpful programme identification and schedule. First-class breakfast. Proprietor solicitous without being intrusive. Good value and thoroughly recommended.

On a visit with a group of old[very!] friends for a reunion ;Leahurst was my base for just one night + breakfast. However,I wish it could have been for longer because my room, meal & host's welcome were well above the norm.

Lynn and Phil share their beautiful home with friendly enthusiasm, They provide quality, comfort, beautiful views and good value. Wonderful choice of English breakfast fuels each day, thanks to both of them. The steam train ride and waterfalls were beautiful this time of year. We will be back.

Phil & Lynn run a really good bed and breakfast - warm and comfortable. Super breakfast and a lvely garden replete with hens and ducks. This was my second time at Leahurst. It's an easy walk into town.

Our second visit to Leahurst and we will certainly go back again. Phil & Lynn make you feel so welcome in their home. Excellent room, finishing touches such as bath robes and slippers and most important a really large and comfortable bed to get a great nights sleep! Get up in the morning to a superb full english breakfast which has to be tried to be believed. So expertly cooked by Lynn and served in a really pleasant dining room with Phil waiting on your every need. The Wifi is also a plus as is the under cover parking, the drive entrance is a tight one but okay if you take it carefully. You need to try this B & B to find out how good it really is. Many thanks once again to Phil & Lynn for an excellent stay.

Room Tip: Better not say as we don't want the room we had this year - fully booked next year!
