“great place.. fantastic location”
Reviewed April 3, 2013

great place to stay..rooms big enough to accomodate 2 adults & 2 children as they put an extra bed in the room.. (would be great if rooms had bunk beds for the children to make use of the space) Rooms are light and airy! very clean and modern! all the staff are fantastic..nothing too much bother (especially delyth)! breakfast is £6 for adults £3 for children! evening meals can be had at the 'driftwood restaurant' downstairs.. i'd recommend the lamb chops with tasty homeade chips! fantastic location to explore treaddur bay.. main beach only a walk away!

Hidden away at the back of the old beach hotel, this place is great. I'm local, but have arranged for several friends to stay here as its the best spot in the area, particularly in respect of value for money.

The best thing about this place though is by far and away the staff. Nothing is too much trouble, and as mentioned in earlier reviews, if there is something you want which isn't listed on the menu, then they'll give it a go.

Recently had a large party for the mrs' birthday. Nothing was too much trouble, and the staff handled the big party like a dream.

Can't recommend this place enough.

The motel rooms are spacious, warm, clean and very welcoming. The beds were comfortable and had a good nights sleep. There is a really nice beach just over the road. If I ever have to stay in Anglesey over night again the beach motel is where we will stay again.

We spent one night here awaiting the ferry in the morning. Initial impressions weren't great as there's another disused building right beside it (apparently this is being renovated soon). However, the staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. The dinner and breakfast were really good and reasonably priced, the room was really comfortable- the bed was great and the shower was amazing. It's really close to Holyhead and there's a little beach across the road which is lovely too if you've time. We'd definitely recommend it and would stay there again.

Just spent 3 weeks there on business. Rooms are large with a good en-suite bathrooms with whirlpool baths, plenty of hot water with powerful showers with free internet. There is a good selection of food in the evening and if its not on the menu they will cook it if they have the ingredients. There is a good breakfast served in the morning with plenty of choice or in our case a 2pm as we were working nights. Good access to Holyhead for all ferry services only 5 minutes away. The staff went out of there way to make you stay enjoyable.

We stayed at the motel for one night prior to catching a ferry from Holyhead. Although we arrived in the dark I did look out for the "derelict eyesore" that so many people have mentioned as we left. I think you would have to be very sensitive to let it bother you! The staff were friendly and welcoming and we had two lovely rooms, a king-size and a twin with connecting doors. This was perfect for allowing our teenage daughters the privacy that we needed but still being on hand.
We ate in the restaurant which was fine.
We particularly liked the spaciousness of the rooms, which are well decorated with good quality fixtures and I enjoyed using the jacuzzi bath.
Breakfast was good value and perfectly adequate. We didn't have time to explore so I can't comment on the surrounding area but I 'd recommend the motel to anyone wanting a good value stopover.

Arriving at The Beach Motel you could be forgiven for thinking you were about to appear in the latest hostel movie. First appearances are pretty grim with the derelict snooker hall looking like an ideal location for serial murder.

However, the rooms are a very pleasant surprise. Clean, modern and quite tasteful. We had a nice couple of nights there, the beds were comfy and it's within walking distance of the beach.

As we had to be up early each morning, we didn't bother with breakfast there so can't comment on the quality of it.

As others have said, the rooms could do with WiFi as obtaining a phone signal in the room involved wearing a tin foil hat, standing on one leg whislt waving the phone at the window.
