“From sun to sandstorms, but always fabulous.”
Reviewed February 22, 2014

We stayed here for a few days, and rented a gorgeous house that was right on the beach. The weather was dramatic, to be kind - from wild wild, whipping the sand into a storm, to bright sunshine on a cold february day. The wind surfers and sail boarders were out in the best, or should I say worst of the weather. The waves crashed, the rocks played their part as a black backdrop to the exploding water. It was fabulous. We went for walks in all the weathers, and loved the peace and tranquility of the village and beach.
We will return, in summer, spring and Autumn, to see it in all the phases, but I think we've probably seen them all in those first few days.

“A nice walk”
Reviewed December 9, 2013

This is a great little beach for a walk. I took a few photos of the undulating rock formations jutting out of the sand and followed the beach around to the end of Rhosneigr, the locals walk their dogs but clean up after them, the locals are also very friendly. The only downside was the number of jets screaming passed but being situated near to an RAF base you have to except that.

“popular place”
Reviewed October 30, 2013

I have been many times over the years, stopping at a camping site. There are really three beaches each as nice as the next. One starts at the river than runs through sand dunes, you cross the bridge and walk parallel to RAF valley. It is very wide and clean and quiet. The town beach is reached by a road from the square, it is very popular with wind surfers, jet skiers and families, but can be very busy. The other one runs along more sand dunes and is by the river that flows from the lake. It is very warm and sheltered on a sunny day, and quite rocky in places. Just a short walk from the Oystercatcher, all three are really kept clean in the summer season.
