Travelling up the west coast of Anglesey, with the wind blowing from the east, which is not the norm, we turned off and drove down to Rhosneiger beach, finding it sheltered while the rest of the island were facing strong winds from the east, we were quite suprised to find many families on the beach at this time of the year and we spent quite a pleasant afternoon watching the building of many sand castles...

Lovely beach! Enjoyed walking the length of it on a freezing cold March day collecting shells, but a bit cold to paddle in the sea! Can imagine it's very popular with surfers in the summer!

Come again soon... As we do have real good friends on the Lleyn Peninsula, we also visit another friend on Anglesey.

We visited Rhosneigr on a beautiful sunny day in February (yes, February). We really liked the setting of this beach and enjoyed watching the jets taking off and landing at the adjacent RAF base. There were houses set right onto the beach and I'm sure they would make a wonderful holiday base. There were shops, which although shut at this time of the year, would surely come alive in the summer offering the usual beach fare. We would happily return again.
