Called in today for a cup of tea and a snack.
Very friendly barman served us and apologised for wanting payment up front. He said lots of People had walked off without paying in the summer months.
They have a good menu but it is very pricey. We had the Cajun chicken rap and chips which was very tasty.
There were too couples in the bar food area both with dogs. One big one visited our table and tried its luck getting to my plate. Not what I would expect from a posh looking place.

Arrived after a walk looking slightly windblown & muddy so worried about our appearance - it didn't matter as there was a range of people in a variety of attire. So nice relaxed informal atmosphere with interesting decor plus amazing views from huge panoramic windows. Had a delicious lite bite - Teriyaki steak pocket (I chose well!) Cousin had Welsh Rarebit - he wouldn't recommend it. An eclectic range of artwork along the hallway from HMP. And I noticed it was dog friendly too.

Bar staff unable to make a kir royale. No fish or anything local on the menu - the only fish was monkfish but that was not available (nobody told us). Food appeared to be bought in. Full roast chicken turned up like a KFC bucket, breaded and deep fried. Food took ages to arrive. Manager discounted the bill, but the experience spoiled a family meal out. Such a shame because it's a great location and building, but should be selling fresh and local food (mussels, fish, oysters), not a Brewers Fayre type menu which you can get anywhere.

Popped in on the off chance with two friends after a long beach walk. We were promptly seated even though the restaurant was very busy. The three ladies that served us over the course of our meal were absolutely lovely and the food was really nice too. Would definitely return here again.

When we arrived the place was noisy and over run with kids, generally enjoying their holiday, however we wanted piece and quiet and a good meal. Thankfully we were shown upstairs and had the most delicious meal in a relaxed and comfortable setting.
We would highly recommend.

However, if you have children, the ground floor is a safe haven for them to eat and play and enjoy their time.
