Great menu including exotic meats e.g. ostrich, make this a little bit different to your average pub. Good range of beer too!

Food was only just satisfactory. It lacked presentation and taste.
Ladies toilet was a serious heaslth hazard as it overflowed onto the floor when flushed.

Decor and location very pleasant. Table wait staff nice and friendly, but I think the bartender was having a bad night.

Food was average at best. Steak was admittedly cooked to order but tough and tasteless. Both vegetarian options also came back as tasteless.

Sort the food out, would be a great place. We will give it another go sometime in the future.

We recommend this restaurant for their service and food and even though they were busy the chef prepared a special meal for my husband who doesn't eat meat/chicken/fish. There are not many places that will do this and for this particular reason we highly recommend them. The food was good and when served was freshly cooked and hot, the chips were great, the service friendly and helpful.

Being local, over the years we have often eaten in this pub. However this most recent visit has confirmed that despite the GREAT BEER, the eating experience here is NOT recommended.
2 meals had to be sent back (Prawns were distinctly off, mussels appeared to have been microwaved - don't know how else you'd get them so leathery)
Vegetables - all tasteless, carrots had that vinegary hanging-about-for-too-long flavour
Freshly battered cod- may have been but the fish was long long dead and again more like papier mache.
Sea Bream usually a lovely dish, again tasted old, it just wasn't right.
There was hardly anybody else in there- not a good sign. Staff were helpful and apologetic, but the lack of care over the food was appalling. Yeuch! Ych a fi!
