It was our first visit to this beautiful area and for valentines evening we wanted something a little special. Going off other trip advisor reports we booked and weren't disappointed. Like other tasting menus we've had elsewhere the menu is set on the day and you are given the option of knowing what is being cooked or not. We chose not to know so each course was a surprise, and we thoroughly enjoyed each one. Some great combinations of flavours we've never had before and were expertly cooked and served. Lovely wine accompaniment also.

The Sosban is great value for money and very unpretentious. Although if there is any slight criticism (and it is very slight) the restaurant interior itself could do with a redesign. We'd 100% come back when we're in the area. Very recommended.

We enjoyed everything about our first meal here. We all liked the notion of no menu and the anticipation of what was to come. Each course came at the appropriate time and was wonderful in its own way. The only slight criticism was the mark-up on the wines...we had three bottles and each was £25.00 plus. The food, however was very good value and varied in presentation, taste and texture.

Intrigued by the fact this restaurant has no menu and offers whatever is seasonal and fresh we waited all winter for them to reopen so we could try. We were not disappointed, the restaurant is cosy and from the first home made warm parmesan biscuits to the last bite of peanut and chocolate macaroons with coffee every course a pleasure. You can opt to be told what the menu is on arrival or have a surprise but don't worry , if there are things you don't like or can't eat inventive alternatives are offered. The set price menu gives you nibbles, appetiser, first course , fish course , meat course, dessert & petit fours with coffee. The food uses local produce , an example meat course would be braised Ox cheek with celeriac & apple puree, the meat was unctuous and complimented by the sharpness of the apple - excellent! There is a short but well researched and thought out wine list . The service is leisurely and it was a "whole evening" experience rather that just a meal out. You need to book in advance due to the limited covers but it's worth it. Set aside an evening and enjoy !

This was our second visit to Sosban and this time with friends. We had a wonderful food experience in this delightful unpretentious restaurant with a no hurried approach - arriving at 7pm and we did not leave untl 11 pm and time flew. Warm, comfortable, relaxing and delicious food. Not to be missed and on current standards this rivals any other top restaurant. Thank you.

Having visited the restaurant when it first opened I had an idea of what to expect. As on our first visit the service was fantastic. Bethan was attentive to our needs and nothing was too much trouble. Having specified previously our dietary requirements the chef had prepared a menu for us, which was great as we were able to try dishes we may not have thought to order ordinarily.

The food was nothing short of amazing. Each course presented beautifully and incredibly tasty. In between each course we were also treated to little tasters created by the chef. All of which were fantastic.

I really cannot praise this restaurant highly enough. Without doubt the best food any of our party had ever eaten.

Looking forward to our next visit!
