Bethan made us really welcome, the food was innovative, creative and our advice is go and try it!!! The black beef was certainly the best we have tasted, and a credit to Anglesey and the chef. We look forward to going back and sampling the rest of the menu , thanks Bethan and Stephen.

we went last night after bring told how good it was by local friends. it's a husband and wife operation which always boads well and we weren't disappointed! They bravely have returned from London under the stewardship of Michael roux and opened up thier own place. Like all good places they have focused on providing a limited choice of outstanding dishes rather than try and offer an overly complex menu which then fails to deliver. The presentation of food was as good as many top london restaurants and the chef clearly knows how to cook, the food was simply delicious and on a par but far better than The Bull. We started with a delicious amuse bouche of cauliflower soup with a curry sauce which I wish had been on the main menu. We had fish starters and lamb and welsh black beef as mains all tasted incredibly good and the winewas sensibly priced and jolly good. Puddings are limited to only two choices which I think they would be advised to increase to a choice of at least three but the rice pudding and cheesecake were both really Yummie. It was full and they only currently do 18 covers a night as the chef personally coks everything. Some people might find the menu limiting but the fact it is so busy shows it works. Far better to do a few dishes really really well and in thier tiny kitchen it clearly works.

It was one off the most enjoyable meals I have had in north Wales and they deserve to do really well which I am sure they will if they keep up the same standards as last night. Their passion and enthusiasm for making Sosban a success really shows and it's become my favourite new local to go to as it was fantastic. Can't wait to go back!

A FANTASTIC place to eat, food is EXCELLENTLY prepared, the service is EXCELLENT to.We found nothing was to much trouble for them.I also would say that the food presentation was first class. I would go so far as to say,"WHAT ABOUT A MICHELIN STAR" FOR THIS PLACE. definitely going again, but must remember to book early.
