I've stayed here several times but this was the most pleasant of all. Very friendly staff, excellent beers in a well stocked bar and fantastic local food. The Menai mussels were delicious. The room had been decorated since my previous visit and was clean and spacious with a sizeable en suite but the view - oh the view - was as gorgeous as ever. We supped a pint watching the reflected glow of the sunset over Snowdonia and listened to the curlews; hung out of our windows to watch the moon shine through the mist which then cleared to show a galaxy of stars. I woke up uber early to enjoy every moment of the sunrise over the Menai Straits. Barely a breath of wind to cause a ripple around the moored yachts. I slept with the windows open and the clean salty air gently lulled me to a sound sleep.

We were offered a generous and tasty breakfast - again served by friendly staff. This time the owner who was happy to chat during his busy morning chores. A quick drive and we were at our meeting in Bangor.

It's always a joy to stay at The Gazelle and I hope to return again soon.

It's hard to not write an entire review based on the stunning view across the Menai Strait to Snowdonia. The weather was quite misty during my stay which just added to the magic. As for the Gazelle, my room was a good size, comfortable and clean, the welcome was warm and friendly, dinner was tasty and reasonably priced and breakfast was perfect.

We stopped for lunch at the Gazelle on our way to Beaumaris,we were given a pleasant smile and hello when we walked in, the service was good and polite and friendly, our lunch was what can I say plentiful and very good, my only grumble was I got too full and could not eat it all, excellent lunch with spectacular views across the Menai Straits.would Definitely eat there again.

We've stayed at the Gazelle now close on half a dozen times and never been disappointed. Usually a warm and personal welcome from Chris, one of the owners. Good room facilities with excellent views over the Straits and Snowdonia. Food is very good too, and breakfast is especially good. We have a boat nearby and this is our destination of choice. Very good value for money overall.

We owned a holiday home in Port Dinorwic many years ago and visited the Gazelle many times for lunch with our family. Fast forward 30 years or so we decided to visit Anglesey and booked into the Gazelle not at all sure what to expect. A wonderful welcome from Chris and his staff, room with a view to die for, especially at sunrise !
Food freshly cooked nothing too much trouble and great choice, lovely atmosphere .

We visited the Gazelle recently and was pleasantly surprised on how lovely the place was. Very warm welcome, but the only thing that caught my eye was the unwashed carpet at the main entrance, which was a bit of a disappointment. We entered our room which was very spacious and neat, and the view was incredible. But the best part of our stay was the BREAKFAST we received. The best I've ever tasted, and was cooked to perfection. By far the best. Compliments to the chef.
