“Carry on Glamping!”
Reviewed May 31, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

The pod was amazing, it had everything you required for the stay and in a stunning location. My 8 year old daughter had the time of her life, she met a lovely little girl staying in another pod and they both ran around the grounds with Lucy & John's lovely dog. T,he area housing the pods is secure and it is so lovely to see children enjoying absolute freedom. Thank you Lucy, Ruby cannot wait to come back and neither can I.

It was lovely to see 2 little girls making friends and being able to play safely in the big field with the dog. A real privilege for us.

“A perfect couples get-away in a quiet & secluded location”
Reviewed May 12, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Even before our arrival, Lucy was extremely helpful answering our numerous emails promptly. When we did arrival on a Very wet Friday, John met us with a beaming smile and eagerly showed us round the site. The pods are quite amazing with just the right amount of equipment to make the stay comfortable & enjoyable. The internal space provides a cosy environment for two, but might appear slightly cramped for three or four. For the two of us, it was just right. The bed was very comfortable and the shower surprisingly good. The field kitchen works well for cooking breakfasts; you must try Lucy's breakfast packs, with their locally sourced sausages, eggs & bacon - Delicious.

We definitely want to come back.

We prefer to source local bacon and sausages and promote Anglesey suppliers, but can't get any more local than our own eggs!

“Highly recommended!”

Beautiful setting, great location for country walks, perfect for a rejuvenating week away. Lucy and john were fabulous hosts. Lovely little touches that made the stay special. Loved the breakfast package of local ingredients. The fire pit is perfect to sit under and toast marshmallows looking at the stars!! Best holiday we have had for a long time!!!

Glad our own chickens came up with the goods for your breakfast - there's nothing like a freshly laid egg from a happy hen!

“Beautiful setting, great hosts and super comfortable!”
Reviewed May 1, 2015 for a stay in April 2015

I stayed here with my partner for a week, it was the perfect holiday! In a postcard setting with Snowdonia national park framed by (mostly) blue sky and the sea. Lucy was a fabulous host, making sure we had everything we needed, she recommended places to go for walks and where to go for dinner. The pods are set up to be comfortable and cosy and I had some of the best sleeps I have had in a very long time!! Highly recommended!!!!

“Peaceful relaxing and fantastic accommadation”
Reviewed April 27, 2015 for a stay in April 2015

The site is in a secluded spot with only the sound of the birds to be heard. The pods are cosy and warm with a comfy bed. The field kitchen was great when the weather stop us from bbqing. With good weather the fire pit/bbq outside the pod was great for cooking and we stoked it up in the evening to keep us warm while stargazing.

Our hosts were very welcoming and helpfully with local knowledge.

The area is beautiful being so close to the Menai straits and the Newborough forest and beach. Great for walking, surfing fishing and mountain biking.

Highly recommended.

“A unique and comfortable glamping holiday!”

The Pod

Very tastefully decorated and the bed mattress was very comfy! We had a very comfortable stay with a good sized sofa and useful heater. The bathroom although compact was well designed and had a strong and hot shower! The kitchen area of the pod was well stocked and the milk and cake on arrival was a lovely touch.

The separate kitchen cabin was also well stocked for preparation of larger meals. We had a very peaceful sleep with the only sounds from the sheep. The small puppy was a delight to play ball with! There was ample parking space near the pods and the lanterns provided were very helpful for walking around at night. The area information booklet provided in the pod was very detailed and useful for planning our stay. We would highly recommend the harbourfront bistro in Holyhead! Lucy was very accommodating and was a friendly and reliable host. Very reasonable prices for such a comfy and unique place to stay. The location was also well connected for easy access to the A roads. Would like to be able to make more use of the pod veranda and log fires next time. We look forward to being able to stay again and will be certainly spreading the word!

Thank you Emily, it was a delight to have you to stay. I am only sorry that South Stack Lighthouse is closed on Fridays - I shall certainly warn guests of that in the future, after questioning the logic of that with Anglesey County Council first.

“Perfect alternative to B & B”

Having scoured Anglesey for suitable accomodation for myself and 11 year old son to spend a couple of days getting "away from it all", I'd resigned myself to booking a B & B (and all of the restrictions that inevitably come with this).

However, my wife stumbled across Llanfiar Hall and what a find this turned out to be! First of all, the accomodation is perfect, with everying you need for a weekend away provided, so forget about dragging your camping equipment with you - its not needed.

As can be seens from the offiical pics and inventory provided on the website, the pods are spec'd to a very high standard, with additonal facilities such as the field kitchen providing additonal cooking space if you so desire.

Other touches such as the giant chess set was a great way to spend an hour or so whilst planning the days activities, or unwiding after a day yomping around the magnificent Anglesey coast.

The final activity of each evening was getting back to nature with a seat around the firepit, which offers a timely opportunity for some star gazing (the minimal light pollution on the site makes this an ideal spot).

Lucy and John were perfect hosts, happy to spend as much or little time as you require orienting yourself around the site and the wider isle. My son particuarly enjoyed listening to the wider plans for this fledgling site. This is destined to be a big sucess over the coming years and we will most certainly be making return visits.

Liked best: Settling down in evening around the firepit.
Liked least: Being dragged out of bed at the crack of dawn to play another game of chess!
