“Lovely Farm with plenty to do - best on a sunny day!”

Visited this farm last year and really enjoyed it. Our son got to feed a lamb and a calf as well as see the other animals - but the weather wasn't the best.

This year, the sun was shining and there was so much more that we could do. There is a giant jumping bouncy pillow that my son loved - we couldn't get him off!!!!

There are tours of the animals via a tractor ride, and a chance to go on a quad bike ride as well.

The cafe is very nice, but they cook everything fresh so it isn't the quickest.

We had a lovely time and will certainly visit again in the future if we are in the area.

“Great for kids and all generations”

Brilliant farm with enough home spun charm to make it feel unique. Pony rides, the massive bouncy trampoline and tractor rides plus the additional home made choc shop make this a great day pout. Bring a picnic or eat at the cafe. Always a fave with our family.

“Fun day out for kids”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 17, 2013

My Wife and I visited Foal Farm with our 9 month old daughter

Have to say 1st off the staff were excellent throughout our visit. All very helpful and went out there way to talk to use and offer us information.

We attended one of the feeding sessions which was for some calves which my wife participated in feeding some, this was a wonderful experience. We then walked round the rest of the barn showing our daughter the other animals - Goats, Cockerels, Hens, Lambs, Sheep, Pigs, piglets. Most of the animals in barn seemed to be in there for a reason, no parent, young animals etc.

There was a ride round the farm but we opted to walk. We visited more pigs, ponies, sheep, cows, rams nice little walk round.

We then visited the chocolate shop and purchased a few treats before having a wee hot chocolate and homemade tiffin in the restaurant,

There was more to do on the farm for older children, outdoor activities and pony rides (school holidays only)

All in all it was an excellent day out which our daughter enjoyed and we will return if were back this way in the future.

“Value for money, excellent day out for adults and children”

Having lived in the area for over 20 years I had never visited foel farm but looking for somewhere to take our 18 month old son locally we decided on foel farm due to the great reviews from friends of ours. This has to be the best day out we have ever had as a family. We struck it lucky as it was one of the only warm days during March and the scenery surrounding the farm is just stunning! Having worked in customer facing environments all my life I have to say that the customer service and care here is the best I have seen anywhere, not just in the UK but in the world. Friendly, chatty, knowledgeable, warm are just some of the words I would use to describe the staff and owners. We were shown around by a young lad who talked us through most of the animals and got out rabbits for our son to stroke. Another member of staff would come round the farm and ask us how we were doing and tell us when we could go on the next available tractor rides, pony rides, etc. You can tell how proud they are of their beautiful farm and that they all love their jobs. Everyone from the reception area, farm area, cafe were warm, chatty and friendly. The rides are free once you are in the farm and are great fun for both young and old. The play area is large and something for kids of all ages. Plenty of barnyard animals to keep the kids happy (my son particularly liked chasing the silky chickens around). You can buy food to feed the animals yourself for a small price which is definitely worth it. I could go on and on about how great this place is. I rarely ever write reviews but totally believe this farm is worth praising. My partner went back with my son and a friend this month (april) and it was freezing cold but had just as great a time as before. Can't wait for our next visit on my next week off. I'll leave it at that :)

“The Best Trip Ever!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 12, 2013

We visited here after we went to the Sea Zoo which is just up the road. It's a superb setting, right on the Menai Straits with a great view of Caernarfon across the water and Anglesey also.

At first, the Foel Farm seemed a little pricey but once we got inside, we were simply blown away by everything you can see and do. Our little one was in her element as she got to walk around and see all the animals, pet them and even feed some calves! We had a ride on a tractor all the way round the farm, including a stop off to feed their old horse and just for the adults, there was a chocolate shop too.

The staff were warm and friendly and a coffee and cake in the café is a must!
