We really enjoyed our stay at Pippin Cottage, its beautifully maintained with a spacious and comfortable modern interior, in a fabulous location just a short walk into Beaumaris centre and the sea. We loved it, and we hope to return!! Thank you!
We loved staying at Pippin Cottage, it was great to be so near to beautiful Beaumaris town and to the sea. The cottage is airy, spacious, very clean and well equipped, although we would say that the kitchen equipment is quite basic, which is why we have only given 4 stars. Comfortable beds, excellent shower and location quiet and peaceful.
A short stroll from Beaumaris town, with nice shops and some super restaurants. The cottage was really lovely.
We could have done with a larger saucepan ( not sure how a family of four would cook pasta) and maybe a couple of serving dishes, but other than that, found everything we needed.
Some information about rubbish and recycling would be helpful. The dustbin was full when we arrived ( and smelly in the heat) and had no idea if we were meant to do anything with it. Not sure if bottles, plastic and tins should have shared the recycling bin, so apologies if we put the wrong things in. Also I think we missed recycling day as we didn't know when to put bins out. But this is a really minor issue.
Really loved the decor and comfort of settees and beds. Although on a busy-ish main road, we were able to park right outside most nights .
The location of the cottage is great. Easy walk to town, and all amenities.
Spacious cottage, with useful garden. But there are a couple of negative points:
*wifi - the cottage is advertised as having wifi, but this isn't strictly true. The router is located in the next door cottage, and the only way of obtaining a signal is to be in the double bedroom at the front of the cottage.
*bins - there is no information about bin collection. There was already rubbish in the wheelie bin when we arrived, and we had no idea when to put the bin out.
Stayed here Sept 2016 too, it's great to be back. A real home away from home. Great room sizes, lovely garden, not too far to walk into town.
I stayed here with my wife and 18 month toddler at the end of October/beginning of November. Before we arrived I had really good communication with the owner, just double checking things for my son like a highchair and cot.
The cottage was lovely inside and had everything we needed for our 7 day stay, even a crabbing line which we enjoyed very much! There were toys for my son to play with, no stairs to fall down, and clean cooking equipment to use.
Even though it's near the road, we slept very well probably due to the really thick walls of the original cottage. It was a perfect distance for walking into town and enjoying all the great places that Beaumaris has to offer. The visitors book and file were really useful in planning our trips.
- Clean with lovely decor
- Well stocked
- Great shower over bath
- Perfect location
ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT (very little to improve!)
- WiFi reception was really only available in one room, but it was nice not to be looking at screens on holiday!
- We didn't know when bin day was, so might be good to put in the book
