“An excellent and very enjoyable visit”

We really enjoyed our pre-Easter couple of days in this lovely B & B. A lovely comfortable and very atmospheric period house right on sea front with amazing views of the sea and Welsh mountains. Quite stunning. We loved our spacious panelled bedroom with very large and comfy bed. Gill's breakfast was delicious and beautfully presented.
Only a few minutes walk from Beaumaris, so convenient. Thanks Gill and Laurie. Definitely recommend Cleifiog.

We have been spending romantic weekends in Beaumaris for 25 years and have previously stayed at The Bull and at Bishopsgate House. We felt like a change and found this gem online. We booked two nights bed and breakfast for 2 for a winter price of £150. From the moment of arrival Gill made us feel like royalty. Nothing was too much trouble. We were served tea and special biscuits in the lounge with roaring fire. She discovered our favourite teas and then supplied containers of this in our room in addition to the plentiful variety of refreshments already there. Gill had ascertained my special dietary needs before the visit so these were catered for with no fuss. The room (Pattern) was beautifully decorated and furnished and the bathroom spacious, warm and full of plushy towels. The sort of items you would find in a top hotel were all there but none of the clutter sometimes found in a B and B.The bed was 6 foot wide and extremely comfortable. The greatest joy for me was the superb view of the straits with Snowdonia in the distance. As for breakfast, well, you guessed it....delicious, perfectly cooked and served by a special lady who is born to make people feel welcome. We intend to return again and again and would recommend Cleifiog to all.

Room Tip: 3 lovely rooms available. All have sea view except Sampler but this was a lovely room with separate...

Stayed three nights. Warm welcome by the owner and recommended places to visit on the island. Very clean. Facilities are good although wi fi signal poor but who needs it. With such views! Comfy bed and large bathroom. Decor iIs superb if you re into wood pannelled rooms and rustic charm.
Great location since a 2 min walk from main high street so a good selection of pubs and places to eat.
Since it. Is a 5 star B&B you would expect a few nice extras. Although the pastry selection from Waitrose is very nice , local bara brith and other local delicacies would have their place on the breakfast table.
Finally the rooms would benefit from double glazing / double window since they re overlooking the main road and it can be busy with traffic and binmen early in the morning when you re on hols! Otherwise a good 8/10! And did i mention it is. VERY good value compared with other B&B ofers in the area? Will return.

This was one of the few B&Bs we stayed in on a 7 week holiday and it was absolutelty wonderful. The bedroom and ensuite bathroom were huge and beautifully decorated with a wonderful biew of the bay. Beaumaris town is a short stroll away and it was great to have a pint and a meal at the Old Bull's Head Inn. The castle is definitely worth a look and very atmospheric. Gill was a brilliant host and she greeted us with a tea and biscuits on our arrival. Breakfast was briliant. Could not fault our stay here.

My wife and I stayed for two nights on a long weekend escape from London and we've already booked to return next year. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated with a lovely view of the bay. The bathroom was also very spacious with a nice strong shower. The bed was large, soft and cosy.

Beaumaris town is a short stroll away and we enjoyed pottering around its few sights and shops. Gill was a wonderful, helpful host and there were many useful guidebooks and maps to Anglesey in the peaceful downstairs sitting room.

Breakfast was served around an 8-person table. We enjoyed chatting with our fellow visitors. With a full range of continental and cooked options on offer, we certainly started each day full and happy. Gill's scrambled eggs were particularly perfect!

Stayed 2 nights in the Tapestry Room. We booked after reading the great reviews on Trip Advisor and we were not disappointed. Gill welcomed us warmly on our arrival and pointed out the parking places to use if there is no room right outside. The room was beautifully furnished and spotless. The bed is huge and very comfortable. Breakfast delicious and plentiful. Garden at the front was full of flowers and the view across the Menai Straights from this room is fantastic. We visited the Castle and the Gaol in Beaumaris and also drove around the island stopping at a few of the lovely beaches. Very relaxing break in an amazing house.
